Before establishing her consulting firm, Ms. Stein served as the global director of enterprise leadership development at VMware from 2022 to 2024. During this period, she successfully implemented the Adaptive Development for Leaders program, which she co-developed. This program was designed to enhance values-based leadership skills and was tailored to meet the specific needs of various organizations. Ms. Stein’s efforts at VMware laid the groundwork for expanding this program to European clients.
From 2018 to 2022, Ms. Stein excelled as the learning experience and delivery lead in global learning and leadership development at Columbia Sportswear Company. Her proudest achievement during this tenure was creating a comprehensive culture of learning that translated into tangible business results. By fostering a growth mindset and integrating learning into the performance process, Ms. Stein positively impacted over 8,000 global employees. Her work included developing the “Always Be Learning” guide and collaborating with vendors to offer diverse training opportunities.
Ms. Stein’s earlier career included significant roles at Providence Health & Services, where she served as a consultant programs leader in HR and talent development programs from 2008 to 2012, senior consultant and programs leader in leadership development between 2012 and 2016, and principal consultant in talent management from 2016 to 2018. Ms. Stein’s foundational experiences included managing organizational development and learning at Renown Health, starting in 2006, and serving as a training and development manager at Colonial Bank between 2004 and 2006.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Stein earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2003. This education laid the foundation for her practical communication skills, which have been instrumental throughout her career. Ms. Stein has also earned numerous certifications that have enhanced her professional capabilities, including the Hogan Practitioner certification from Hogan Assessments in 2019 and the Team Performance Model certification from The Grove Consultants International in 2020.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Stein is an active member of industry-related organizations, such as the Association of Training and Development and Chief Learning Officer. Beyond her professional life, she is dedicated to community involvement and personal interests.
