In addition to his contributions to Perez McGee International Architecture, Mr. Perez has been serving as the vice president of real estate development and construction at Senior Resource Group in Solana Beach, California. Since 2023, he has expertly managed the entire process across multiple disciplines, coordinating all aspects of projects from entitlement to design and permitting, ultimately delivering fully completed projects to the operations department. Mr. Perez’s expertise spans a multiplicity of projects, including aviation and project leadership, underscoring his proficiency in the field.
Before his current position, Mr. Perez served as the vice president of real estate development and design at IDM Companies in Scottsdale from 2020 to 2023. In this capacity, he integrated architecture and engineering with construction processes, honing his skills in managing complex projects. Between 2016 and 2020, he was the vice president of real estate development and construction at Urban Communities LLC, where he led national U.S. projects with a focus on urban development throughout the southwest, mid-Atlantic and northeast areas of the U.S.
Mr. Perez’s career trajectory also included several other significant roles, such as director principal at LEO A DALY in Phoenix from 2005 to 2007 and senior associate at DLR Group between 2004 and 2005. His early years in the industry were marked by his tenure as a senior project manager and studio lead designer at Carter & Burgess (now Jacobs) from 1999 to 2005, where he achieved Design Excellence Awards and was named Architect of the Year by the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Perez’s foundational experiences include positions with DAVIS, SWABACK PLLC, Fluor Corporation-Allen & Philp, and Alpha Engineering PLLC in the Scottsdale and Phoenix areas.
Mr. Perez’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in architecture and urban planning from the Pontificia Bolivariana University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He also holds certifications in construction administration and management from Arizona State University. Mr. Perez’s passion for learning and curiosity have driven his success, emphasizing the importance of embracing new technology for efficiency and balance between work and personal life.
A member of the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Life Institute of America, Mr. Perez has contributed significantly to the architectural community.
