Hoppy Mazuroski, Independent Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in international development and contract management.

Mr. Mazuroski has dedicated over three decades to his profession, establishing himself as an esteemed expert in contract management, third-party monitoring, and program evaluations and assessments. His career has been distinguished by a series of significant roles, each contributing to his reputation for excellence in project management. Currently excelling as an independent consultant for Maine-based companies since 2024, Mr. Mazuroski manages projects with a focus on staffing, security, budget, deliverables, and contracts.

Prior to his present position, Mr. Mazuroski was active as a park ranger with the Bureau of Parks and Lands at the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry from 2023 to 2024. His impressive tenure as chief of party at Bixal from 2021 to 2023 saw him overseeing comprehensive project operations. In 2021, Mr. Mazuroski also worked as a self-employed consultant, further honing his skills in strategic planning and execution.

From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Mazuroski served as the chief of party for the Strengthening Watershed and Irrigation Management project at DT Global. His expertise was further solidified during his time as a technical advisor at DAI from 2017 to 2019. Between 2014 and 2017, he found success as the technical director at Checchi and Company Consulting Inc., now known as Dexis Consulting Group. His earlier roles include his efforts as the chief of party for Checchi and Company Consulting Inc., now known as the Dexis Consulting Group, from 2012 to 2014 and International Business & Technical Consultants Inc. in 2014. Mr. Mazuroski previously refined his skills with Checchi and Company Consulting as the chief of party and country director from 2007 to 2010 and the deputy chief of party and country director from 2011 to 2012.

Between his tenures at Checchi and Company Consulting Inc., Mr. Mazuroski contributed to Tetra Tech Inc. as the deputy chief of party from 2010 to 2011. In the years prior, he was appointed as a team leader for local governance with RTI International from 2003 to 2004 and the chief of party and country director for Global Communities, formerly known as CHF International, from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Mazuroski began his career as the deputy chief of party for Urban Institute between 2001 and 2003.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Mazuroski pursued a formal education at the University of New England, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and economics. He ultimately concluded his studies at Long Island University, graduating with a Master of Arts in biology with a focus on fisheries in 1981. These academic pursuits equipped him with the analytical skills necessary for his work in international development.

Mr. Mazuroski’s commitment to community service is evident through his volunteer work with local organizations and charities, including the Waldo County Wood Shed. This specific involvement reflects his dedication to civic engagement and supporting community initiatives.

Mr. Mazuroski’s most notable achievement is successfully facilitating the relocation of approximately 60 former Afghan employees to the United States, where they have become citizens and are thriving with their families. This accomplishment underscores his commitment to making a positive impact on global communities.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Mazuroski enjoys playing tennis, swimming, sailing, and skiing. Looking ahead, he aspires to become a Peace Corps country director, aiming to influence project management initiatives within the organization. His ability to listen, empower others, hold them accountable for their decisions, and provide mentorship has been instrumental in his success and will continue to guide him in future endeavors.
