Mr. Mack, an expert in government and homeland security, is lauded for his contributions, dedication and expertise, specifically in the areas of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense. As a program manager and WMD consultant since 2019, he has been instrumental in developing Weapons of Mass Effects Battle Labs and managing WMD training programs for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance Program. Mr. Mack’s role as a science and engineering technical assistance staff manager underscores his commitment to advancing national security measures.

Leveraging his extensive military background, Mr. Mack is recognized as a retired Army veteran and WMD/CBRN technical consultant with E-9 Corporation since 2011. Initially serving as a military policeman and as a nuclear/biological chemical warfare operations specialist in the U.S. Army in 1976, he garnered foundational expertise in this critical area.

Mr. Mack also succeeded throughout his civilian career. From 2009 to 2011, he served as a senior project manager for force protection at CORTEK Inc., where he collaborated with the Joint Program Executive Office. Previously, he served as a curriculum project manager at Kaseman for the U.S. State Department between 2007 and 2009, where he refined his skills in training management and curriculum development.

Among other noteworthy opportunities, Mr. Mack made significant contributions to research and development during his tenure as an operations researcher at Northrop Grumman Corporation from 2002 to 2006. His involvement with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency allowed him to participate in on-site inspections of nuclear, chemical and biological laboratories across various countries, including Czechoslovakia and Russia. Notably, Mr. Mack was present during the expulsion from Russia, underscoring the high-stakes nature of his work.

Mr. Mack’s earlier career achievements included serving as a project manager for the Biological Integrated Detection System (BIDS) Modeling and Simulations at ITT Advanced Engineering and Sciences from 1997 to 2002. Under the direction of the late five-star general Colin Powell at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland, Mr. Mack played a pivotal role in developing BIDS, which remains a vital component of military biodefense capabilities today.

Mr. Mack’s academic accomplishments have significantly contributed to his professional success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology and management from the University of Maryland in 1999, a Master of Science in Project Management from Liberty University in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy in epidemiology from the University of Maryland in 2018. His certification as a project management professional further attests to his proficiency in managing complex projects.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Mack is deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. He volunteers at food pantries, such as Christ Chapel in Woodbridge, Virginia, and Action in Community Through Service in Dumfries, Virginia. Additionally, he has served as a county election officer for Loudoun and Stafford municipalities since 2016. Previously, Mr. Mack successfully coordinated blood drives for the American Red Cross from 1998 to 2002.

In light of his military service, Mr. Mack received numerous Meritorious Awards and commendations, highlighting his exceptional contributions to national defense. Through his professional achievements, community involvement, and personal dedication to education and mentorship, he has established himself as a formidable figure in national security and an advocate for scientific exploration among underrepresented communities.
