Ron Reich, founder of RLB Training and Development, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in leadership training and development.

Beginning his career in human resources, Mr. Reich’s propensity for leadership and mentorship was recognized early on. He was encouraged to consider shifting his focus to career training, which led to him becoming a sales trainer at Toshiba America in 1993. Mr. Reich gained further experience in designing training programs as a sales training consultant for Chubb Computer Services. In 2000, he accepted a role as a management development associate for Organon Pharmaceuticals.

During his time with Organon Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Reich invested heavily in his own professional development. When his entire training team was laid off in 2003, he embraced the opportunity to establish his company, RLB Training and Development. Through this organization, Mr. Reich collaborates with clients at companies of all sizes, providing group lessons, one-on-one coaching and other forms of training. He aids in the development of both individuals and overall company culture, ensuring that everyone shares the same goals and vision.

Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Reich built a strong foundation through academia. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management from Gettysburg College in 1982. Subsequently, Mr. Reich earned a Master of Science in human resource management from Upsala College in 1992. He has further solidified his expertise through continued professional training. Through FranklinCovey, Mr. Reich has been certified in situational leadership, conflict resolution and teaching “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” In total, he has completed more than 15 certifications.

Mr. Reich has distinguished himself throughout the field in a number of capacities. He maintains membership in Learning and Development Professionals and the Society for Human Resource Management. Mr. Reich has received numerous internal awards from the companies he’s been involved with throughout his professional life. He also contributes to his community through efforts with the YMCA.

Though his career has been filled with many memorable moments, Mr. Reich is especially proud of his reading habit that he established early on. One of his bosses suggested that he could become more well-rounded by reading at least ten pages of a book every day, five days a week. Keeping that goal in mind, Mr. Reich became a daily reader and has now read over 400 books, with a focus on books about leadership and self-improvement. He considers this one of his greatest accomplishments and notes how his prolific readership has significantly improved his knowledge and confidence within his industry.

While he operates in spaces that can be very results-driven, Mr. Reich stresses that much of his success is due to paying more attention to carefully laying the groundwork. He believes that thoughtful preparation plays a major role in determining whether or not a venture will be successful. Expanding on this approach, Mr. Reich recalls advice he received earlier in his career from Tony Codianni, his director of training at Toshiba: He advised that all trainers always show up at least 45 minutes ahead of when class was scheduled. This gave them plenty of time to complete setup and demonstrate their readiness to trainees entering the room.

Outside of his career, Mr. Reich is a dedicated husband and a loving pet owner to his dog, Jasmine. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, working out, reading, gardening and watching sports. Mr. Reich has no current plans to retire and looks forward to continuing in his career as long as he is happy and healthy. He is committed to his work with RLB Training and Development and is eager to assist more clients in creating great leadership environments.
