Additionally, Mr. Smith addressed machinery breakdowns that threatened production schedules by instituting a preventive maintenance plan and establishing a dedicated maintenance department to ensure spare parts were always available.
Before assuming his management role, Mr. Smith served as a production and inventory control manager at InterMetro Industries Corporation, starting in 2010. He also succeeded as a production planner and production and inventory control supervisor at Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, beginning in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Smith served as an inventory control manager at American Silk Mills from 1994 to 2000, during which he developed his proficiency in supply chain management.
Mr. Smith’s academic background has been integral to his professional achievements. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Wilkes University in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in finance and operations management on campus in 2006.
