Tracey A. Jackson, founder and principal at TAJ Strategic Consulting Services LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance and consulting.
Having established herself in financial leadership over the last 20 years, Ms. Jackson now brings her expertise to others who need help. Her professional journey began with an internship at a credit union in Baltimore, where she first became passionate about financial literacy and teaching others. Working at a credit union also showed Ms. Jackson the importance of supporting her local community. These lessons set the stage for her future accomplishments.
Building off that foundation, Ms. Jackson became an e-commerce analyst at MECU Credit Union. Dedicating 10 years to this organization, she was later promoted to senior financial analyst, investment manager and finally, assistant director. By 2016, Ms. Jackson oversaw a portfolio worth more than $400 million and collaborated with 15 brokers. Following this, she further solidified her leadership credentials in such roles as vice president of finance for Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union, chief financial officer at Delaware State Police Federal Credit Union, chief financial officer at Resource One Credit Union and chief executive officer of Treasury Department Federal Credit Union.
Culminating her career thus far, Ms. Jackson founded TAJ Strategic Consulting Services LLC in 2025. As principal and the company’s sole employee, she handles all elements of the business, from customer acquisition to marketing to financial analysis. Ms. Jackson aims to help small businesses, start-ups, nonprofits and mission-driven organizations that need guidance on compliance, funding, finance and more. Her consultancy leverages her years of experience as a chief financial officer, allowing her to provide a rare level of insight that these businesses would struggle to find elsewhere.
Ms. Jackson’s contributions in her field were born of her academic path. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in finance and general studies from Morgan State University in 2005. Subsequently, Ms. Jackson earned a Master of Science in finance and financial management services from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2011. She has been certified as a credit union financial counselor.
Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has bolstered her knowledge through affiliation with a number of pertinent organizations. She maintains membership in the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce and the African-American Credit Union Coalition. Additionally, Ms. Jackson has served on the board and the finance council for America’s Credit Unions. In 2011, she co-authored a segment for the Management Minutes series titled “Financial Health for the Financial Professional.”
Known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Ms. Jackson regularly finds ways to give back to others. She supports pop-up pantries, which provide food and grocery distribution to those in need. Ms. Jackson also regularly volunteers in the wider community as a mentor, as well as offering free lessons in financial literacy and resume writing. She was honored with the Rising Star Award by Baltimore City College in 2011.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Jackson is a proud single mother to a 21-year-old daughter. When she’s not at work, she enjoys photography, practicing archery with her daughter, bowling and cooking. Moving ahead, Ms. Jackson is focused on making TAJ Strategic Consulting Services LLC a trusted name in the local small business community, with the potential to expand to working with larger entities in the future. Her primary goal is for her company to become a reliable partner that businesses can turn to when they need financial service support.
