For nearly 15 years, Ms. Patil has built an esteemed professional life. This journey began in her home country of India in 2012 as a senior treasury associate for Reliance Industries Limited. In 2014, Ms. Patil began contributing as a Murex consultant for United Overseas Bank in Singapore, which led to a job as a foreign exchange consultant with Murex. She also contributed as a Murex Front Office consultant with Primefinity; an external consultant on Front Office pricing and risk with Murex’s Beirut district; a treasury and risk consultant with United Overseas Bank; a Front Office Murex consultant with Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank); a senior business and strategy consultant in capital markets and risk management with DXC Technology; and a Front Office business analyst with Standard Chartered Bank.
After immigrating to the United States in 2022, Ms. Patil started the latest chapter in her career as a business analyst with Millennium. A major global investment firm, Millennium manages nearly $80 billion in assets with over 6,000 employees and 140 locations. In her role as an analyst, Ms. Patil collaborates on initiatives to improve the organization’s portfolio, pricing and risk analytics. She works directly with developers and quantitative analysts to build and advance the company’s analytical tools. Ms. Patil prioritizes the efficiency and accuracy of Millennium’s financial models. Her overall goal is to ensure that the group has the strongest possible information in support of its decision-making.
Though her professional journey has been filled with many memorable moments, Ms. Patil is especially proud of her accomplishments during her time as a treasury and risk consultant with United Overseas Bank from 2018 to 2020. During this tenure, she focused on global markets and was assigned to handle a very challenging project related to how the bank would handle negative interest rates. Despite working under an intense six-month deadline, Ms. Patil successfully completed the project while collaborating with teams across the bank at all levels. She considers this one of the most noteworthy endeavors in her career so far, and one that cemented the skills she uses every day in her current role at Millennium.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Patil set up her future success through her education, beginning with a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Mumbai in 2009. Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Business Administration in finance and financial management services from the Mumbai Educational Trust’s Institute of Management in 2011. Ms. Patil returned to academia after moving to the U.S., earning a Master of Science in management and systems from New York University in 2023. She believes that her diverse set of skills differentiates her from many others in her field, enabling her to contribute in an efficient and timely manner.
A volunteer within her local community, Ms. Patil makes a point to give back in multiple ways. Prior to beginning her career, she participated in fundraising and awareness campaigns for Child Rights and You (CRY), an Indian nongovernmental organization that addresses children’s issues in the country, including education, nutrition and safety. While living in Singapore, Ms. Patil was a donor to the Bone Marrow Donor Programme. This nonprofit provides lifesaving marrow transplants to patients suffering from blood diseases that might otherwise prove fatal.
When she’s not working, Ms. Patil fills her free time by playing her two favorite sports, tennis and squash. Looking ahead, she is eager to begin work on a range of new projects now that she has transitioned to life in the U.S. Ms. Patil looks forward to her continued work with Millennium but also plans to contribute to her broader network. She additionally hopes to begin writing and publishing her thoughts.
