Ms. Tavernier’s career previously included significant contributions at Bank of America, where she served in numerous positions for 15 years. From 2003 to 2004, she contributed as a consumer real estate design engineer, focusing on redesigning processes for their real estate business and helping executives obtain their Six Sigma certification. She then advanced to e-commerce senior technology manager between 2004 and 2006, where she advanced digital banking solutions and managed technology teams responsible for online platforms before being named an e-commerce technology executive from 2006 to 2008. Over the next decade, Ms. Tavernier’s titles included marketing technology executive, data program executive, and global compliance and operational risk executive. As a global compliance and risk executive, she played a pivotal part in implementing systems designed to detect potentially suspicious activity on a worldwide scale.
Before joining Bank of America, Ms. Tavernier was the information technology project lead at GE from 1999 to 2003. She began her professional career as a business analyst and developer at Electronic Data Systems in 1995.
Ms. Tavernier’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in management information systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1994. This education gave her a strong foundation in business principles and technological applications. In addition to her degree, she has obtained her Six Sigma Green Belt certification and the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) credential from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, further enhancing her proficiency in process design, risk management and financial crime prevention.
In recognition of her accomplishments, Ms. Tavernier received the Bank of America Medallion Award of Excellence in 2006 and is a Beta Gamma Sigma Collegiate Honor Society member. Her dedication to fostering diversity is evident through her involvement with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and past membership in the Bank of America Black Executive Leadership Council.
Ms. Tavernier’s commitment extends beyond her professional achievements into civic engagement and community service. She contributes to organizations which support special needs children, orphanages, or organizations which aim to prevent human trafficking and is an active contributor to church initiatives. Her volunteer efforts also include work with the Crisis Assistance Ministry and Second Harvest Food Bank, demonstrating a deep dedication to helping vulnerable populations both locally and internationally.
