Having initially joined Wells Fargo in 2018, Ms. Tavernier worked as a business execution executive, where she focused on operational strategies and drove process improvements. From 2018 to 2021, she held the position of business control and risk executive for analytics and reporting at Wells Fargo, overseeing the development and implementation of robust analytics frameworks that supported enterprise-wide risk initiatives.

Ms. Tavernier’s career previously included significant contributions at Bank of America, where she served in numerous positions for 15 years. From 2003 to 2004, she contributed as a consumer real estate design engineer, focusing on innovative solutions for real estate services. She then advanced to e-commerce senior technology manager between 2004 and 2006, where she advanced digital banking solutions and managed technology teams responsible for online platforms before being named an e-commerce service delivery manager/executive from 2006 to 2008. Over the next decade, Ms. Tavernier’s titles included marketing service delivery executive, reference data systems program executive, and, most recently, global compliance and operational risk executive. In this role, she played a pivotal part in implementing systems designed to detect potentially suspicious activity on a worldwide scale. Ms. Tavernier’s work was instrumental in enhancing tools, developing new models and refining data processes to ensure effective transaction monitoring.

Before joining Bank of America, Ms. Tavernier was the marketing information technology project lead at GE from 1999 to 2003. She began her professional journey as a business analyst and developer at Electronic Data Systems in 1995.

Throughout her career in the financial sector, Ms. Tavernier leveraged artificial intelligence technology to analyze transactions for potential instances of human trafficking and other related activities. This endeavor strengthened financial monitoring worldwide and significantly contributed to detecting illicit activities.

Ms. Tavernier’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in management information systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1994. In addition to her degree, she earned the certified anti-money laundering specialist credential from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists in 2016, further enhancing her proficiency in compliance and financial crime prevention.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Tavernier has been affiliated with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. She previously served on the Bank of America Black Executive Leadership Council. Ms. Tavernier’s commitment extends beyond her professional achievements into civic engagement and community service. She contributes to Lily Path, supports Camps at Trusted Parents and is an active contributor to church missions supporting orphans in Thailand. Her volunteer efforts also include work with Crisis Assistance Ministry and Second Harvest Food Bank, demonstrating a deep dedication to helping vulnerable populations both locally and internationally.

Ms. Tavernier has been recognized for her expertise in analytics and her commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the industry. Her accomplishments have been highlighted with several honors, including the Medallion Award of Excellence from Bank of America in 2006.
