D. Vincent Cox, Underwriting Analyst at IPpay LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in Payment Services and Merchant Services.

Mr. Cox, an underwriting analyst at IPpay LLC, has been instrumental in his organization’s success since 2024. A small company comprised of only him and one other team member, he is responsible for servicing both existing and new accounts. His duties also include managing support tickets for current clients, onboarding new merchants and overseeing special projects related to account servicing. Additionally, Mr. Cox maintains risk parameters to ensure appropriate risk levels within the portfolio.

Headquartered in Riviera Beach, Florida, IPpay LLC is a global electronic payment processor and provider of multiple merchant services. It has quickly become recognized for its contributions to internet service providers, utilities and municipalities, which represent a significant portion of its customer base.

Mr. Cox’s entry into the payment and merchant services sector began by chance with Elavon Inc., a subsidiary of U.S. Bank that specializes in processing debit and credit card transactions, as well as Automated Clearing House transactions, for businesses of all sizes. Beginning in 2015, he held the position of credit analyst II. In this role, Mr. Cox focused on underwriting and credit analysis, managing accounts ranging from small, family-owned businesses to major clients such as Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A and U-Haul. He was responsible for analyzing merchants to identify upfront risks and ensuring their preparedness for success upon joining the company.

From 2016 to 2019, Mr. Cox served as an anti-money laundering quality compliance analyst II at Elavon Inc., where he conducted quality checks to guarantee compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and know-your-customer laws. He consistently achieved high-quality and pending percentage goals, meeting departmental targets and ensuring regulatory adherence. Mr. Cox’s early years at Elavon Inc. provided him with experience managing large accounts and conducting risk analysis, which laid the foundation for his subsequent positions in quality analysis and project management.

Between 2019 and 2023, Mr. Cox was a project analyst II at Elavon Inc., where he played a pivotal role in improving the onboarding process for major projects. His most notable achievement during this period was leading an initiative to eliminate paper-based processes by transitioning the company to a digital system. This transformation ensured that every department in the sales force, as well as customer relationship management, stopped printing and handling paper applications.

Mr. Cox’s diverse career path also included working as an insurance agent from 2012 to 2016, where he honed his skills in customer service, collections and sales. Among other opportunities, he was a collections and recovery specialist at First Tennessee Bank from 2012 to 2013 and a computer room operator at K-VA-T Food Stores Inc., starting in 2010.

Highly educated, Mr. Cox earned an associate degree in general studies from Walters State Community College in 2010. He then studied at King University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, both with a focus on management and operations, in 2011 and 2014, respectively.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Cox is civically engaged as a volunteer with Second Harvest Food Bank. He is also an active member and volunteer of the Newport Theatre Guild in Newport, Tennessee, where he once served as the vice president and treasurer.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cox has demonstrated unwavering dedication to customer service and operational excellence, earning recognition for his innovative contributions and commitment to continuous improvement within the payments industry. In 2021, he was honored with the prestigious U.S. Bank Legends of Possible Award for his work at Elavon Inc.

Mr. Cox attributes his achievements to a strong work ethic, punctuality and a willingness to put in extra hours when needed. He values listening to industry veterans and learning from mentors, which has contributed significantly to his growth and adaptability within the payments industry. Eager for the future, Mr. Cox aspires to participate in a program in Tennessee that will allow him to work full-time while attending law school. He is particularly interested in contract law and is excited to further explore the financial aspects and legalities associated with contracts.
