As the chair and chief executive officer of Rohsen Technology & Marketing Inc. from 1997 to 2003, Mr. Rohlander guided the company through a period of growth and innovation. Witnessing the international need for improved communication during the early stages of the internet’s impact, he and a former client developed a solution that allowed companies to communicate and order customized manufactured parts, marking the start of the firm.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Rohlander spent over five years as a regional tax investment specialist at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.. In this role, he developed deep expertise in equities and financial strategy. Mr. Rohlander also pursued real estate development projects, managed a $120 million bond for the Orange County Municipal Water District over three years and owned a travel agency, further diversifying his business acumen. Throughout his career, he has served as the chief executive officer of three businesses.
A significant chapter in Mr. Rohlander’s professional journey began with his military service. As a captain and fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1970, he completed over 200 combat missions in Vietnam without injury. He subsequently spent three years living in Germany before serving nearly another three years in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Rohlander’s academic background laid a strong foundation for his multifaceted career. He received a Bachelor of Arts in literature and history at Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1964 and a Master of Business Administration in finance from California State University, Fullerton, in 1972. In 1982, he pursued postgraduate coursework in management at the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. Mr. Rohlander also received licensure to sell stocks, bonds, commodities, options and insurance.
Mr. Rohlander’s influence extends beyond business into professional associations. He was a longtime board member of the National Speakers Association, resigning after 30 years. He also served on the board of the Association of Professional Consultants. Mr. Rohlander continues to meet with his executive group, The Maestro Group, which he founded to foster collaboration among leaders. Civically, he has been active on the board at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Santiago Canyon College and has volunteered with various other organizations.
As an author, Mr. Rohlander published “The CEO Code: Create a Great Company and Inspire People to Greatness with Practical Advice from an Experienced Executive” in 2013 and “Management Skills: Easy-to-Follow Lessons on Effectively Managing People (Idiot’s Guides)” in 2014. He has also contributed articles to professional journals. Mr. Rohlander’s creative work has further included performing as a first soprano with a quartet on WWTV Channel 13 and as a baritone vocalist with a quartet at Westmont College.
Mr. Rohlander is working on publishing his third book and exploring new opportunities for growth, such as bringing his leadership course online. As the creator of the DGR crypto coin, he anticipates its continued significance within his business ventures.
In honor of his military background, Mr. Rohlander’s contributions have been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Air Medal with 14 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross from the U.S. Air Force.
