Giuseppe Barile, chief executive officer at Acument Global Technologies, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in business management.

Mr. Barile has established a notable career in the automotive and manufacturing industries, marked by a series of leadership roles and transformative achievements. As chief executive officer of Acument Global Technologies, North America since 2024, he leads and guides a large team while embracing responsibilities across finance, operations, sales, legal, supply chain, human resources and quality. He reports on all functions, manages a unique business segment separately, oversees floor management and handles regional management. Additionally, Mr. Barile coordinates with the executive vice president for business lines. In this capacity, he continues to promote stability within the organization, building new relationships and ensuring positive developments in both team dynamics and operational outcomes. His focus on sustainability and long-term planning has further established him as a leader in business management.

Prior to his present position, Mr. Barile was active as the vice president of sales at Fontana Gruppo from 2023 to 2024. During this period, he was instrumental in driving sales strategies and fostering client relationships that contributed to the company’s growth.

From 2020 to 2023, Mr. Barile found success as the chief executive officer and president at Webasto Roof Systems Americas. Under his leadership, he nearly doubled the aforementioned company’s revenue and implemented significant changes that strengthened the company culture. He is particularly proud of transforming struggling businesses into leading brands during his tenure and enhancing operations and customer engagement across various markets.

In 2020, Mr. Barile was appointed as the vice president of the customer group at Webasto Roof Systems Americas in Michigan. His expertise in program management, sales, production operations and supply chain was pivotal in improving brand performance and operational efficiency.

Between 2014 and 2019, Mr. Barile served as the vice president of the customer group at Webasto Group in Italy. He played a key role in improving brands throughout Europe—especially in Italy and France—by enhancing operations and customer engagement. From 2015 to 2018, Mr. Barile worked as the president of the component group at Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica (ANFIA), where he contributed to advancing industry standards and practices.

As general manager at Webasto Group from 2011 to 2014, Mr. Barile oversaw critical business functions that supported organizational growth and innovation. From 2009 to 2010, he was appointed as deputy general manager WSpA and sales and marketing director at Webasto Group. His leadership during this period was marked by strategic initiatives that improved market positioning. Between 2008 and 2010, Mr. Barile thrived as a Fiat key account managing director at WABCO Italy for WABCO. In this position, he managed key client relationships and contributed to business development efforts.

Among his most notable achievements is co-founding a successful startup with his colleague Arvin. Starting with just three people, they grew the business into a sustainable company with research and development capabilities—a testament to his ability to create sustainable businesses and strong teams. Throughout his career, Mr. Barile has valued leaving behind a motivated workforce and maintains connections with many former colleagues.

Mr. Barile is recognized for his expertise in program management, sales, production operations and supply chain—skills that have been integral to his professional success. He is an member of several industry-related organizations including the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association and CLEPA. He is also a past president of Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica (ANFIA), reflecting his commitment to advancing the automotive sector.

Mr. Barile’s academic background includes earning a master’s degree in engineering. This educational foundation has been instrumental in equipping him with the technical knowledge necessary for navigating complex challenges within the industry.

Mr. Barile attributes his success to a steadfast commitment to making a positive impact and a genuine passion for his work. Rather than focusing solely on climbing the corporate ladder, he prioritizes meaningful contributions and the legacy he leaves behind. His resilience is evident in facing difficult decisions—such as closing a plant while still striving for operational excellence—and he finds fulfillment through purposeful work that benefits both himself and those around him.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Barile seeks new challenges rather than repeating past roles. A major factor influencing his future plans is resolving personal circumstances related to family location decisions between the United States and Europe. In his current position, following the acquisition of a Swiss competitor—which expanded Acument’s team—he aims to integrate and strengthen this new team while continuing to grow other parts of the business he leads directly. He remains open-minded about how his career will evolve after completing these objectives.
