Over the next two decades, he experienced steady advancement with companies such as Montclare Technologies, SanDisk and Verizon. Before joining ServiceNow, he spent nearly a decade as a senior ServiceNow technical architect at Kloves Inc. between 2012 and 2021.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Hooker received an undergraduate degree in computer science from Capella University. Beyond his formal education, he earned numerous professional credentials, all through ServiceNow, making him highly qualified in his field. He holds certifications as an application developer, system administrator, and implementation specialist in IT service management since 2018, as an implementation specialist in risk and compliance since 2020, as an implementation specialist in human resources since 2021, and as a technical architect since 2022.
As part of his professional commitments, Mr. Hooker is a member of 100 Black Men of America, a leading mentoring organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in African American communities. Deeply passionate about mentoring others within his industry, he also dedicates his time to hosting a developer meetup in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is always available to assist those who reach out to him on platforms like LinkedIn for advice. Moreover, Mr. Hooker offers free sessions to help budding developers, particularly those looking to establish a YouTube channel or seeking guidance on entering the technology field.
In light of his success, Mr. Hooker was named ServiceNow MVP for 2023 and 2024. He considers this prestigious nomination his most notable achievement, as it recognizes individuals worldwide who have made significant contributions to their communities.
Mr. Hooker attributes much of his success to understanding the processes behind his work rather than focusing solely on tools or coding.
