Alarra T. Tozin, MEd, MPM, founder, principal marketing consultant and digital savant at Cyprojects, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in digital marketing.
With a varied professional history extending across more than 30 years, Ms. Tozin has proven herself to be smart, ambitious and eager to learn and grow. Her path started in 1993 as a golf caddy with the Chicago Park District, where she primarily worked at Jackson Park Golf Course, the city’s only public 18-hole course. Ms. Tozin went on to gain experience as a leasing agent intern and front desk receptionist at Regents Park Apartments and a store manager intern at Aldi. Her first work in marketing came in 1996, when she began two years as a part-time marketing analyst at Market Track.
Between 1998 and 2006, Ms. Tozin took on a range of positions, including summer associate at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, web programming intern at Verizon, resident assistant at Northwestern University, manager at McMaster-Carr, sales and service representative at AT&T, business development manager at T-Mobile, assistant store manager at Payless ShoeSource, assistant director of admissions at the Harrington College of Design and Argosy University, and admissions adviser at Berkeley College. She showcased her capacity for leadership during a five-year tenure as a project delivery implementation manager at iCIMS, where she was in charge of integrating processes and managing complex projects.
Following that, Ms. Tozin joined Experian Marketing Services in 2010 as a project delivery implementation lead for Experian CheetahMail. Over the course of five years with that company, she was promoted to senior delivery implementation lead and manager for professional services and cross-channel marketing. Having established herself, Ms. Tozin was acquired by Salesforce in 2015 as a senior marketing cloud architect. She later assumed the position of program architect for the company’s Marketing Cloud software, offering expert guidance to some of the highest-earning clients in the Salesforce ecosystem. Building on her experience with Salesforce, Ms. Tozin contributed as the director of Salesforce Marketing Cloud practice at Fortimize, senior director of Salesforce Marketing Cloud at Freedom Mortgage, Salesforce Marketing Cloud consultant at Banner Health and Salesforce managing delivery architect in digital customer experience at Capgemini. She has demonstrated a mastery of essential technology within the digital marketing world, making her a reliable resource for her clients and employers.
Concurrently with much of her career progress, Ms. Tozin has served as principal marketing consultant and digital savant at Cyprojects, a consultancy that she founded in 2007. Through this organization, she works with businesses ranging from small to enterprise-sized, as well as with individual clients. Ms. Tozin has collaborated with such celebrity clients as Iyanla Vanzant and the estate of Dick Gregory. She specializes in aiding clients with planning projects, setting business goals, increasing profits, launching websites and integrating stronger digital marketing strategies.
Ms. Tozin’s diverse professional background is matched by an equally broad education, beginning with a Bachelor of Arts in African American studies from Northwestern University in 2000. From 2004 to 2006, she obtained three master’s degrees: a Master of Education in college student counseling and personnel services from Loyola University Chicago; a master’s degree in higher education administration from Argosy University; and a Master of Arts in African American studies from Columbia University. Returning to academia after a break, Ms. Tozin earned a master’s degree in project management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management in 2013. She has additionally completed certification in Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud tools, including as an email specialist, consultant and administrator.
Outside of her career, Ms. Tozin is a loving mother to her child, Lennox. When not working, she prefers to spend her time singing and reading. While continuing to focus on her consulting work through Cyprojects, Ms. Tozin also plans to develop a new product of her own in the coming years. She envisions creating a product that will educate others in the marketing space and allow them to enhance their abilities through practice.
