Ms. Mayorga, a leader in the political sphere, currently serves as a partner at GBAO, a role she has held since 2023. Based in Washington, D.C., her company specializes in survey research and strategic consulting in corporate communications, branding strategy, international relations and political campaigns, providing expertise to all levels of government.
In her role, Ms. Mayorga leads research initiatives for clients across the United States, with a primary focus on the West, Southwest, Florida and New York. Her responsibilities include overseeing polling and strategy for political campaigns and organizations aligned with Democratic values. She identifies client research needs, designs and executes studies, conducts focus groups and presents data-driven insights to inform campaign and organizational decisions. Ms. Mayorga is recognized for her expertise in the Latino electorate, developing innovative methods for representative sampling and ensuring demographic accuracy in research targeting diverse Latino communities.
Before becoming a partner at her firm, Ms. Mayorga was the senior vice president at GBAO from 2021 to 2023. During this period, she continued to expand the firm’s reach and its reputation as a leading authority in the field. Ms. Mayorga first joined GBAO in 2015 as the vice president.
Ms. Mayorga’s career in political strategy began as the western field director at the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) from 2014 to 2015. There, she managed field operations across multiple states, coordinated grassroots efforts and developed strategies to mobilize voters in key regions.
Ms. Mayorga’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in American studies and ethnicity, race and migration from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, completed in 2003. Her education provided a strong foundation for understanding complex social dynamics and informed her approach to research and advocacy within diverse communities.
Beyond her education, Ms. Mayorga is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and industry standards. Civically engaged, she has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity International and serves on the board of her son’s parent-teacher association.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mayorga has been recognized for her achievements and contributions to the field of political consulting. Among her most significant accomplishments was being named Democratic Pollster of the Year by the American Association of Political Consultants in 2025, making her the first woman of color to receive this honor. Notably, she earned this distinction for her work on Ruben Diego’s Senate campaign in Arizona, where he became the state’s first Latino senator. Ms. Mayorga’s professional accolades also include being named one of the Power 100 Political Consultants in New York in 2025. Earlier in her career, she was honored with a Hispanic Heritage Award from the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in 1999 and was included in the 2016 American Association of Political Consultants’ 40 Under 40 list.
Ms. Mayorga’s entry into political consulting was shaped by years spent working on campaigns and serving with organizations, such as the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations. Beginning with grassroots efforts such as driving voters to the polls, she advanced through various campaign roles before being recruited by GBAO. This transition allowed Ms. Mayorga to settle professionally while continuing meaningful work.
Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised by a single mother, Ms. Mayorga now resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her husband, whom she met while both working at the AFL-CIO. Looking ahead, she aims to advance constituency polling as a central approach within her field, striving to make government more representative of the American population and to help officials better understand diverse communities, such as Latinos. Ms. Mayorga also remains dedicated to studying the Latino electorate, a pursuit she finds both meaningful and essential for progress within society.
