Jin Ahn, AI operations lead at Finley, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in Finance.
Mr. Ahn currently serves as AI operations lead at Finley, where he oversees the deployment, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement of AI models that support the firm’s debt capital management platform. He is responsible for designing scalable AI operating systems, implementing model observability, managing prompt lifecycles, detecting data drift, and ensuring that clients consistently receive reliable, high-impact outcomes. This role represents the latest evolution of a career shaped by technical innovation, structured finance expertise, and scalable operational system design. His prior experience as a capital markets associate—where he integrated both bespoke and standardized credit warehouse financing transactions into the Finley platform—continues to inform his approach to building reliable, production-grade AI systems.
Prior to joining Finley in 2025, Mr. Ahn served as a portfolio manager in the Asset Securitization Team at DZ BANK AG’s New York Branch from 2023 to 2024. In this capacity, he originated structured credit transactions and oversaw the management of private credit warehouse securitization facilities. His responsibilities included transaction structuring, ongoing deal management, client engagement, review of servicer reports and compliance certificates, obtaining internal risk approvals, issuing fee memos, approving funding requests, performing due diligence, and coordinating execution across internal and external stakeholders. His contributions broadened his exposure to a wide range of loan products and enhanced his expertise in private credit warehouse structuring, operations, and management.
From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Ahn served as an asset management associate at Cross River Bank, where he contributed to asset performance monitoring, risk assessment, liquidity analysis, and the development of investment strategies. During his tenure, he also learned to translate verbally framed underwriting perspectives into rigorous analytical models, developing the ability to convert qualitative agreements into structured, quantitative cash-flow valuation projections. His work contributed to the expansion of the firm’s asset management business and further deepened his analytical, operational, and client-facing capabilities.
In 2019, Mr. Ahn served as a loan structurer associate at Deutsche Bank, underwriting consumer loan Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) warehouse facilities, following three years as a research analyst specializing in Asset-Backed Securities and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). He began his research career in ABS coverage before advancing to lead CLO research, authoring more than 100 research reports and market commentaries for institutional investors subscribed to Deutsche Bank Research. His weekly publications established him as a respected analytical voice within the structured finance community, delivering data-driven insights on structured products and broader credit markets. During this period, he passed the Securities Industry Essentials Exam and became a registered representative, holding FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. His subsequent transition into loan structuring provided hands-on experience with consumer loan warehouse transaction execution.
Mr. Ahn’s professional foundation was shaped by his service in the Republic of Korea Army with the Ministry of National Defense Welfare Agency, where he served as a front office operations sergeant from 2012 to 2014. During his service, he received five official awards from the Major General for excellence in front-office operations, dedication to service, and contributions to customer relations. His responsibilities included full-spectrum customer service operations, lodging and logistics oversight, forecasting, and data management, demonstrating early leadership in operational reliability and service quality.
Academically, Mr. Ahn earned a Master of Science in applied analytics from Columbia University, where he gained deep expertise in the financial applications of AI and machine learning, data server management, predictive modeling, and applied statistical methods using predominantly SQL and Python, equipping him with advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in hotel administration from Cornell University, with a minor in real estate and a concentration in finance, accounting, and real estate. This interdisciplinary foundation provided quantitative skills, financial modeling capabilities, and business fundamentals that supported his transition from hospitality to finance. During his time at Cornell, he further strengthened his operational background through culinary coursework and hospitality management, and he earned ServSafe and TIPS certifications, reflecting a long-standing interest in cooking and food science.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ahn has attributed his success to perseverance, adaptability, and a commitment to solving complex problems using technology and improving operational efficiency. He has advanced through increasingly technical and multifaceted roles across research, loan structuring, asset management, portfolio management, private credit lending, systems implementation, and AI operations, consistently delivering meaningful results while advancing process efficiency and workflow scalability. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he remains active in civic and community initiatives, supporting animal welfare causes, disaster relief programs, and Thanksgiving food service for underserved communities. He also hosts the “Koreans in Securitization” networking event in New York, helping to connect and support industry professionals and strengthening cultural bonds.
In his personal life, Mr. Ahn is passionate about coding, building automation workflows, and developing predictive mathematical models—including those used to forecast fantasy NBA performance. He also enjoys cooking, exploring new culinary experiences, spending time with animals, watching the NBA, driving, and applying data-driven approaches to personal finance. He remains dedicated to advancing modern, analytical, and technology-driven practices—anchored in strong governance, operational clarity, and long-term reliability—in both his professional and personal pursuits.
