Julia Casciaro, head of sales for North America at Sensos, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in sales and logistics.
For the last 30 years, Ms. Casciaro has demonstrated an impressive trajectory in the world of logistics and supply chains. Her professional journey started with an internship in TNT Express Worldwide’s accounting department while she was attending college. Having made a strong first impression, Ms. Casciaro was offered a full-time position at the company upon graduating. During this time, she worked in TNT Express Worldwide’s inbound and outside sales departments and gained formative experience in international logistics.
In 1992, Ms. Casciaro joined Airborne Express as a senior account manager. Affiliated with this company for almost 10 years, she worked in the company’s sales department and handled national accounts for major clients such as McDonald’s and Sara Lee. Ms. Casciaro left Airborne Express after the organization went through a difficult merger with DHL. She then shifted her efforts to Sky Courier, a fully owned subsidiary of Airborne Express.
During this period, Ms. Casciaro developed her skills in working with more challenging, time-critical deliveries, such as organ transfers between hospitals. She also attended numerous conferences and visited blood, eye, organ and tissue banks. In 2006, she became a global account manager at Network Global Logistics, an organization specializing in critical transportation solutions. She stayed with that company for almost 20 years as it was acquired by MNX Global Logistics and then UPS. Throughout that time, Ms. Casciaro was promoted to director of business development. From 2020 to 2024, she led a special task force on critical supply chain response to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating customized solutions for customers in the early days of the pandemic and supporting economic recovery as it progressed.
The latest chapter in Ms. Casciaro’s journey began when representatives for Sensos gave a product demonstration at UPS. She found herself deeply impressed by the company’s technology, the world’s first cellular smart sticker which provides clients with real-time updates on their shipments. Excited by this innovation, Ms. Casciaro stepped into the role of head of sales for North America at Sensos in 2024. She serves as an advocate for the organization’s cutting-edge advancements, promoting the product at conferences and through relationships with customers.
Ms. Casciaro’s performance in the field was born of her academic journey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and advertising from Elmhurst University. She has further bolstered her credentials through membership in Women in Aviation International since 2020.
Noted for achievements in the field, Ms. Casciaro has received a variety of sales awards throughout her career. In celebration of her accomplishments, she was featured in Fra Noi, a magazine dedicated to Chicago-area Italian Americans. Ms. Casciaro is proud of her heritage and speaks fluent Italian, as well as English. In her civic life, she supports the Innocence Project.
In addition to her professional life, Ms. Casciaro is a loving mother to three children. She devotes much of her free time to her family, including taking care of her elderly parents. As she moves forward, Ms. Casciaro is excited to continue progressing with Sensos. Her ambitious goals for the future include making Sensos into a household name.
