Oren Pelleg, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at SDF, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in government security and telecommunications.

Mr. Pelleg has built a distinguished career in homeland security, telecommunications, and criminal justice technology, spanning nearly three decades. Since co-founding SDF in 2021, he has guided the company’s rapid expansion into the largest provider of fixed cellular contraband interdiction solutions in the United States. Under his leadership, SDF has become a recognized GSMA member and an FCC designated provider of contraband interdiction solutions—one of only a select number of companies nationwide with this designation. SDF’s proprietary hardware and software platforms are deployed across correctional facilities and law enforcement agencies throughout the U.S. His expertise in criminal justice technology has also enabled close collaboration with major carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, and T Mobile.

Before founding SDF, Mr. Pelleg spent 18 years with Septier Communications Ltd. from 2003 to 2021, where he held several senior roles. He began as sales director between 2003 and 2006, driving strategic partnerships and expanding global reach. From 2006 to 2015, he served as regional vice president of sales and business development for Africa, adapting and deploying advanced security technologies for diverse international markets. He later became regional vice president of sales and business development at Septier Communication Ltd., where he played a central role in introducing Israeli security technologies to U.S. corrections, border‑security, and law‑enforcement sectors. His leadership contributed to Septier’s expansion across Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Prior to Septier, Mr. Pelleg served as vice president of sales and marketing at WhiteCell Inc. from 2001 to 2003. From 1999 to 2001, he was a group officer overseeing sales operations at Amdocs, where he played a major role in integrating Solect Technology Group following its landmark billion‑dollar acquisition—one of the largest corporate integrations in the company’s history.

Mr. Pelleg began his management career at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) where he became the youngest department manager in the company’s history at age 28. As head of purchasing for the Lahav Division from 1997 to 1999, he directed procurement for major aerospace programs both in Israel and abroad.

Before transitioning to civilian leadership, Mr. Pelleg served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from 1991 to 1997 as a logistics and economics officer, attaining the rank of major during his service. He served as liaison to the U.S. Sixth Fleet during joint exercises in Israel. He later continued in the IDF reserves, ultimately receiving a commission as a lieutenant colonel.

Born in Toronto, Mr. Pelleg lived in Southern California and Houston before completing high school through a specialized program in Israel. He undertook early college coursework in California and later enrolled at Bar‑Ilan University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in military and civilian logistics and economics in 1991. He subsequently completed a Master of Business Administration in finance and international management at Tel Aviv University in 1998, in a program conducted in partnership with The Wharton School.

Mr. Pelleg is widely recognized as an expert in criminal justice technology, contraband‑control systems, homeland‑security solutions, telecommunications, open‑source intelligence, and signals intelligence. He has been invited by leading organizations—including the Correctional Leaders Association—to brief senior officials on new FCC regulations and their impact on cellular‑signal jamming technologies in correctional environments. He has also served as a guest lecturer for Tel Aviv University’s Executive MBA program in sales and sales management.

Beyond his professional career, Mr. Pelleg has devoted more than 25 years to volunteering as a patrol officer with the Israel Police. His years of service include the arrest of a murder suspect during routine patrol operations—an illustration of his dedication to public safety. Since 2016, he has also served as vice president of the Israel‑Africa Chamber of Commerce, contributing to economic cooperation and bilateral relations. His decades of reserve duty in the IDF further underscore his long‑standing commitment to national service.

Mr. Pelleg credits his success to nearly forty years in Israel—a setting that cultivated resilience, creativity, and principled decision‑making—as well as to the enduring values instilled by his parents. Looking ahead, he aims to expand SDF’s partnerships across additional U.S. agencies, introducing advanced technologies that strengthen law‑enforcement operations, improve public‑safety infrastructure, and support mission‑critical activities ranging from border security to search‑and‑rescue operations. Mr. Pelleg has been married for 25 years and has three amazing children.
