Since 2021, he has excelled as a dealer at Castle Rock Ford, where his leadership has driven significant growth and recognition. Mr. Medina’s strategic approach resulted in monthly vehicle sales growing from around 80 to approximately 200. For three consecutive years, the dealership also received the President’s Award from Ford Motor Company for outstanding sales and customer satisfaction. This award recognizes dealers who excel in both customer service index scores and sales performance, with all customer return surveys ranking in the top 10% nationally.

Before becoming a dealer at Castle Rock Ford, Mr. Medina began his tenure as a dealer and managing partner at Castle Rock Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in 2020. Under his direction, the dealership’s sales volume has increased substantially, with the Chrysler store earning the Pentastar Award and consistently ranking in the top 10% nationwide. Notably, the store recently relocated to a larger facility, expanding both inventory and service capacity. When Mr. Medina acquired the dealership, inventory stood at approximately 60 vehicles. Today, it averages about 130 car sales. The service department has also experienced considerable expansion.

Mr. Medina’s focus on team development has been evident in his promotion of first-time general managers who have thrived under his mentorship. He prioritizes employee retention and fosters a positive workplace culture by equipping staff with resources and opportunities for advancement. Several general sales managers have also excelled under Mr. Medina’s guidance, reflecting his philosophy of preparing employees for future leadership roles.

During 2023 and 2024, Mr. Medina excelled briefly as a dealer at Chevrolet of Mandan and Subaru of Mandan. During this period, he continued to implement growth strategies that emphasized planning and execution, further establishing his reputation for delivering tangible results across multiple franchises.

From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Medina was the general sales manager at Medved Autoplex in Castle Rock. Here, he was promoted several times and ultimately managed one of the stores following an acquisition by an investment group during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Medina’s leadership contributed to notable success during a challenging period for the industry.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Medina gained experience as a sales manager at Weld County Garage GMC from 2011 to 2016. He began working in automotive sales while still attending high school, initially setting appointments before transitioning into vehicle sales upon reaching the legal age requirement.

Mr. Medina graduated from Greeley West High School before completing coursework in political science and government at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 2016. He remains actively involved in several industry organizations that shape automotive retail standards and practices, serving as a member of the Stellantis Dealer Council, the Ford Dealers Advisory Council in Denver, the Stellantis Map and the Ford Direct Council.

Civic engagement is an essential aspect of Mr. Medina’s life. He serves as a sponsor and volunteer for Summer Big Star Lighting, community concerts and Castlerock community activities, as well as sponsoring rodeos through Castlerock.

Mr. Medina’s professional achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including being an Automotive News 40 Under 40 Honoree by Automotive News from Crain Communications Inc., a Mark of Excellence Award from General Motors, two Pentastar Club Awards from Stellantis NV, three consecutive President’s Awards from Ford Motor Company and The Subaru Love Promise Award from Subaru of America Inc. He credits much of his success to surrounding himself with capable individuals and empowering them to excel in their roles.

Throughout his career, Mr. Medina has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, emphasizing what he calls a “red belt” mentality among his team, which includes striving for excellence without complacency and maintaining a disciplined drive for ongoing achievement. This philosophy has been central to both his personal accomplishments and the sustained success of his dealerships. Looking ahead, Mr. Medina plans to expand his dealership group by acquiring additional dealerships, ensuring each new acquisition reflects a strong organizational culture rather than being treated solely as a transaction.
