Recognized for his expertise in people leadership and transformational change, he assumed the role of U.S. head of customer marketing at GSK plc in 2024, where he manages a team across the entire vaccines business. Dr. Britting’s leadership focuses on driving innovation across vaccine marketing and commercialization practices, emphasizing a shift from traditional brand marketing to a customer-centric approach.
Simultaneously, Dr. Britting serves as a senior director of U.S. customer marketing for the vaccines franchise at GSK plc, based in Philadelphia, where he continues to align the perspectives of customers across retail, health care, access and public sectors.
Before being acquired by GSK plc, Dr. Britting founded RJB Consulting Partners LLC in New Jersey, where he has been excelling as the chief executive officer since 2024. Through this consulting practice, he assists agencies in identifying and placing personnel who can deliver maximum value for large pharmaceutical companies.
Earlier, Dr. Britting served on the board of advisers for Incedo Inc. from 2024 to 2025 and was a strategic adviser to Guidepoint during the same period. His tenure at Teva Pharmaceuticals between 2020 and 2024 was marked by progressively senior leadership roles. As the senior director of U.S. marketing and North American innovation from 2022 to 2024, he managed the patient services organization. He also spearheaded digital health initiatives while serving as the chief of staff to the U.S. executive team. Furthermore, Dr. Britting excelled in his role as the director of U.S. innovation franchise lead between 2021 and 2022, after initially serving as the director of U.S. patient services and strategic solutions franchise lead from 2020 to 2021. His work at Teva Pharmaceuticals solidified his long-term commitment to patient services and operational excellence.
From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Britting held the position of U.S. enterprise consumer strategy and adherence marketing business lead at Novartis in East Hanover, New Jersey, where he led an adherence marketing group across multiple brands in the United States. Notably, as a U.S. and global marketing business lead for Entresto (U.S.) and Serelaxin (global) cardiovascular at Novartis between 2016 and 2018, he successfully relaunched Entresto, growing net sales from $250 million to nearly $2 billion. This achievement transformed Entresto into a blockbuster medication that significantly benefited cardiovascular patients with heart failure, as well as those with diabetes who had suffered strokes.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Britting held several key positions at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Wilmington, Delaware, and Princeton, New Jersey, from 2005 to 2016, including regional business director, district sales manager, national training lead, global marketing leader for the cardiovascular franchise and U.S. marketing leader for the respiratory franchise.
Dr. Britting began his professional journey in pharmaceuticals as an account executive at Dudnyk in Horsham from 2000 to 2003, followed by a national account manager at Frontline Medical Communications in Chatham, New Jersey, between 2003 and 2004, and a sales representative with IQVIA in North and Central New Jersey from 2004 to 2005.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Dr. Britting has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service within Hillsborough Township, New Jersey. He has served as a council member on the township committee since 2022 and previously served as a deputy mayor from 2023 to 2024 and mayor in 2024. Applying a business-minded approach during his tenure as mayor enabled him to accomplish significant progress for the community within a short period. Dr. Britting’s civic involvement also included active participation on various other boards and commissions within Hillsborough Township, as well as other organizations, and continues to support nonprofit youth groups like Scouting America, the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and the Police Benevolent Association.
Dr. Britting’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping his leadership philosophy and professional success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing and business administration from Gwynedd Mercy University, a Master of Business Administration in marketing and management from La Salle University and a Doctor of Philosophy in applied management and decision science with a focus on leadership and organizational change from Walden University. Dr. Britting attributes his achievements not only to his formal education but also to the guidance of his parents, who instilled empathy, resilience and integrity, and the unwavering support of his wife and his dedication to continuous learning.
Dr. Britting’s contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Elected Officials of the Year Award by the Municipal Managers Association for the state of New Jersey in 2024 and the Mayor of the Year Award by the State Senate and Legislature in New Jersey that same year. Due to his diligence and hard work, Hillsborough Township was also recognized as the Second Safest Small Town in the Northeast U.S. by MoneyGeek. Professionally, Dr. Britting aims to broaden his impact beyond individual brands or organizations by transforming how the pharmaceutical industry engages with customers, focusing on building trust throughout all interactions moving forward.
