Based in Washington, D.C., KCCT has been designing innovative, monumental architecture and interior design projects for more than 40 years, across more than 140 countries.
In his role as an associate since 2002, Mr. Dudney communicates daily with clients, oversees staff and project teams, engages in hands-on problem-solving and manages a wide array of administrative responsibilities. His role encompasses preparing design documents, reviewing submittals and requests for information from general contractors, and coordinating complex information and design details with engineering consultants.
Among Mr. Dudney’s most notable achievements at KCCT has been his leadership in the construction administration of the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Under his guidance, the project achieved a highly successful outcome and earned LEED Gold certification, reflecting his commitment to excellence and ability to deliver sustainable solutions on a global scale.
Before joining KCCT, Mr. Dudney built a solid foundation in architecture through various roles, which deepened his understanding of the field. Over the course of over 40 years, he has developed a deep knowledge base that has positioned him as an expert sought after for complex projects involving secure government facilities and embassy planning.
In preparation for his career in the field, Mr. Dudney earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, in 1985. The rigorous education he received provided him with a strong theoretical and practical foundation that has supported his achievements throughout his career.
Mr. Dudney’s professional affiliations further underscore his standing in the industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, which recognizes architects who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to their craft. Additionally, Mr. Dudney is involved with the DC Preservation League, reflecting his commitment to preserving architectural heritage.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Dudney is civically engaged as a volunteer with the Dupont Circle Conservancy, where he contributes to efforts to preserve historic neighborhoods and foster community involvement.
