Before being acquired by EA Agent Enterprises, Mr. Flynn became a tax expert and tax resolution specialist at The Lee Accountancy Group, Inc., in 2021, where he continues to address complex tax issues for a diverse clientele. Previously, Mr. Flynn spent over 35 years as the executive office manager at H. Welton Flynn, Accountants and Auditors, a San Francisco, California-based firm established by his father, from 1982 to 2019. He advanced from an entry-level role assisting with financial statements and tax return preparation to managing both the financial and tax branches of the practice. Under Mr. Flynn’s leadership, the firm became a trusted resource for investment consultations and tax services within the local community.
Mr. Flynn’s academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping his career trajectory. He graduated as valedictorian from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco in 1971. He then pursued undergraduate coursework at Brown University before receiving a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from San Francisco State University in 1977. Years later, Mr. Flynn received a Master of Business Administration in accounting and business management from Regis University in 2006, equipping him with advanced analytical skills essential for navigating complex financial landscapes.
In addition to his degrees, Mr. Flynn holds several key certifications. He received several credentials through the IRS, including becoming recognized as an enrolled agent in 2020. Consistently exceeding continuing education requirements, Mr. Flynn also recently completed over 90 hours to remain current on evolving tax regulations for corporate and partnership clients.
Mr. Flynn’s expertise is further recognized through active membership in the California Society of Enrolled Agents and the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, both organizations that underscore his dedication to professional excellence and service.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Flynn has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to civic engagement through leadership roles with Westside Community Mental Health since 1998. As chair of the board of directors’ finance committee and treasurer, he has contributed strategic oversight and fiscal stewardship to support mental health initiatives within the community. Additionally, Mr. Flynn maintains membership with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
