Mr. Reyes’s technical acumen and commitment to operational excellence contributed significantly to his ability to lead enterprise network and infrastructure operations and, ultimately, to his promotion to director.
Between 2011 and 2013, Mr. Reyes worked as a system engineer for Joint Task Force Guantanamo in Guantanamo, Cuba. This role stands out as one of his most notable achievements, as he spent nearly three years living in Guantanamo Bay as part of the 9/11 trial proceedings. Witnessing the courtroom proceedings firsthand, Mr. Reyes took pride in contributing to efforts to ensure accountability for those involved in the attacks. The experience broadened his perspective on global issues and reinforced his belief in thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Reyes served as a systems and network administrator at D&S Consultants, Inc., in Eatontown, New Jersey, from 2009 to 2011. Among his responsibilities, he supported enterprise systems and network operations across various expanding environments.
Mr. Reyes’s educational background includes a high school diploma from Perth Amboy Public Schools in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 2008 and a technical diploma in IT from Anthem Institute-North Brunswick in 2010. He has continued to advance his professional knowledge through various certifications, including several through LinkedIn, such as Creating Your IT Strategy and Mastering Communications as a Leader. Mr. Reyes also earned the Jira Service Management Fundamentals Badge from Jira Tutorials at Atlassian.
Further distinguishing his leadership, Mr. Reyes is a member of prominent industry organizations, including the CTO Leadership Council and the ViaGlobal CTO Network. He is also affiliated with the National Rifle Association of America.
Mr. Reyes’s contributions were recognized early on with a Senate and General Assembly Citation from The State of New Jersey in 2008. D&S Consultants, Inc., also honored him with a 2010 Certificate of Appreciation. Throughout his career, Mr. Reyes has attributed his success to lessons learned on his family’s farm. Recognized as a first-generation immigrant born in the Dominican Republic, he discovered the value of hard work and responsibility from an early age, when he was entrusted with bringing cows to the warehouse every morning before school for milking by age 10. These formative experiences instilled in Mr. Reyes a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, qualities that have defined his professional trajectory.
Looking ahead, Mr. Reyes intends to focus more on growing professionally and furthering his education. He aspires to secure an executive role or possibly start his own business to provide financial stability for his family and ensure they can take full advantage of opportunities available in the United States.
