Mr. Morris has established a notable professional tenure spanning two decades, marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to operational excellence within the logistics and retail industries. In 2025, he became a corporate trainer at Amazon in Las Vegas, where he is responsible for creating onboarding content for new managers in entry- and mid-level roles. His role requires extensive travel across the United States to train and develop managerial talent, ensuring that Amazon’s standards of excellence are consistently upheld nationwide. Mr. Morris’s expertise in teaching, training and development, and resilience in the face of adversity has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of leaders within the organization.

During his tenure as a corporate trainer, Mr. Morris launched a network-wide program that significantly enhanced inventory processing capabilities across all Amazon warehouses. He collaborated closely with software development engineers to design and implement a new tool that streamlined operations. This initiative included comprehensive training programs and facility layout reorganizations, resulting in the network processing an additional 15 million units and achieving approximately $15 million in net savings. Another notable accomplishment was the creation of a groundbreaking program in 2024 that generated approximately $9 million in savings. Built entirely from the ground up without an existing framework, Mr. Morris managed this initiative while overseeing several team members. The program consistently received high feedback, with more than 1,500 managers trained and an average rating of 4.89 out of five in its most recent year.

From 2019 to 2025, Mr. Morris served as an operations manager at Amazon. In this capacity, he oversaw daily warehouse operations, optimized workflows and led teams to meet key performance metrics. Mr. Morris’s leadership contributed to significant improvements in efficiency and productivity throughout his division.

Before being recruited by Amazon, Mr. Morris served as an assistant general manager at Hudson, a travel-experience retail company based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with locations at airports, commuter hubs, landmarks and tourist destinations throughout North America. Between 2018 and 2019, he worked at a Cleveland, Ohio, location, managing store operations, supervising staff and ensuring compliance with company policies while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Previously, Mr. Morris served as a regional operations manager at Walmart for five years, starting in 2013. In this leading role, he directed multiple locations within his region, focusing on operational consistency, staff development and customer satisfaction. In his first year, Mr. Morris exceeded the annual sales forecast by 24%. His tenure also involved recruiting, hiring and training over 40 associates and developing their skills in the retail sector.

Mr. Morris’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in communications and public relations from Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio, in 2011. This educational foundation has been pivotal in his ability to communicate effectively, lead diverse teams and develop impactful training programs throughout his career. In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Morris has held a Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification from Amazon since 2022. This credential has enabled him to apply process improvement methodologies that drive operational efficiency within complex organizational environments.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Morris is deeply involved in civic initiatives and charitable organizations. He is an active member of Toastmasters International. As the president of the Black Employee Network at Amazon, he advocates for diversity and inclusion within the workplace. Additionally, Mr. Morris partners with organizations such as The Shade Tree and Lemontree, contributes to charity work for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and volunteers with Color A Smile.

Mr. Morris’s dedication has been recognized with several honors, including the Operational Excellence Award from CXO Network in 2023 and a 2025 Manager Spotlight Award nomination from Amazon. He attributes much of his success to the guidance of exceptional mentors who have supported his personal and professional growth over the years.

Looking ahead, Mr. Morris aspires to advance to a director-level role overseeing learning and operations at Amazon, enabling him to expand his innovative programs to reach broader audiences across the organization. He also seeks to further increase his involvement in volunteer activities as part of his ongoing commitment to making a positive impact both professionally and within his community.
