In this capacity, Mr. Pascua Moncayo manages products from conception through commercialization and market launch, overseeing engineers, product development and operational management.
Since his role at GuardDog AI, Mr. Pascua Moncayo has played a pivotal role in growing the company from zero customers to 1,000 deployments and in leading the transition of its core offering from a hardware-based to a software-based solution through containerization. This strategic shift enabled faster and more flexible deployment worldwide, significantly enhancing the company’s reach and impact.
Earlier, Mr. Pascua Moncayo excelled as the chief technology officer at DS Connect Group in Madrid, Spain, from 2016 to 2021. In this executive role, he directed technology strategy and operations, leveraging his expertise to drive business outcomes through technical innovation. Concurrently, Mr. Pascua Moncayo served as director of product strategy and innovation at Repessa Sistemas, also in Madrid, between 2015 and 2020, where he oversaw the development of unique products and services for clients.
From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Pascua Moncayo served as the global product line manager at OVHcloud in Madrid. He also had the opportunity to serve as the senior vice president of digital product at Europe United Solve S.L., also known as euSolve, in Madrid between 2017 and 2019, further honing his expertise in adapting technology solutions for diverse business environments.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Pascua Moncayo served as the head of product international at AT&T Global Network Services Espana S.L. in Spain for nearly a decade, starting in 2009. His European background and experience across markets gave him a unique perspective on what companies need to succeed globally.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pascua Moncayo has delivered measurable results, including growing the customer base from zero to 15,000 seats, increasing revenue from private cloud products by 25% to approximately €20 million ($23 million), and achieving a 35% productivity improvement. He also achieved approximately €40 million ($47 million) in reductions in capital investment costs for cloud infrastructure.
Mr. Pascua Moncayo’s academic foundation included an associate degree in systems and network management from LDS Business College, now Ensign College, in Salt Lake City, Utah, earned in 2004. This education provided him with essential skills that have underpinned his success in developing innovative solutions throughout his career. Mr. Pascua Moncayo also holds numerous VMware credentials that have contributed to his expertise, including VCP-5-DCV, cloud management virtual environments and VTSP-SDS certifications. From CompTIA, Inc., he received credentials such as CompTIA Network+ and operations specialist certification. Other designations include data center virtualization certification from Global Knowledge and project management professional certification from Online Academy.
Aside from his education, Mr. Pascua Moncayo’s commitment to professional development has been reflected in his active memberships with several industry organizations. He is a member of Tanzu Vanguard at VMware and is a Dell Elevate member at Dell Technologies. Additionally, Mr. Pascua Moncayo is recognized as a VMUG leader for VMUG Madrid.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Pascua Moncayo has been actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as the Utah Education Industry Advisory Board, since 2022. Furthermore, he has served on the industry advisory committee at Weber State University since 2022.
Mr. Pascua Moncayo’s influence extends to collaborative projects and publications, including serving as a collaborator on the Exploit Prediction Scoring System since 2024 and acting as a panel judge for VMware events. He has also contributed to advancements in artificial intelligence systems, agentic detection and response cybersecurity engines, business process automation systems, cloud automation and management services, and various other areas of the industry. Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Pascua Moncayo has demonstrated exceptional skill in integrating technical backgrounds with business outcomes, a level of expertise that distinguishes him as a leader in product management and technology-driven business strategy.
