From 2021 to 2022, Mr. Schaak was a project lead at Windwave Communications, a telecommunications company that provides cutting-edge technology and fiber optic infrastructure to rural Eastern Oregon. In his role, he gained valuable experience in rural support and general information technology services and oversaw projects to expand internet access and support local infrastructure needs.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Schaak worked as a cook at the food service company, Safeway, from 2018 to 2020, where he developed skills in operations and customer service. He also served as a manager at Stoney Only PDX, a medical and recreational dispensary, from 2017 to 2019, where he oversaw daily operations and honed his leadership skills.

Mr. Schaak’s academic background includes earning an associate degree in precision irrigated agriculture from Blue Mountain Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Portland State University. He further enhanced his credentials by completing a blockchain certificate program at Portland State University and a fintech certification at the University of Washington.

Further supporting his professional career, Mr. Schaak is a member of Blockchain Club Communications and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Beyond these endeavors, he is civically engaged as a volunteer with animal rescues, including PAWS and his local humane society, where he assists with rehoming and fostering animals, and as a member of the Elks Club.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Schaak has demonstrated expertise in blockchain technology, programming, rural support and general information technology. Recognized for his innovative approach to problem-solving within the industry, he has applied for three U.S. patents related to his work. Another significant milestone of Mr. Schaak’s was becoming a speaker for the NBA National Deaf Dyslexic Association. He collaborated with Agnieszka Bolkovic from Oshu and received acknowledgment in the Journal of Neuroses Search for his research contributions.

He also seeks recognition for outreach efforts similar to those of leading industry platforms, while continuing to add new networks through grants, such as SBIR, for machine learning adoption and Bitcoin integration. Mr. Schaak’s long-term vision includes partnering with larger entities and introducing products within the education sector.
