With nearly 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Gagnon has been the owner of 1728 Software Systems since 1999. Prior to establishing his own firm, he had been a report designer and programmer with Bay Cove Human Services since 1985. A member of American Mensa, Ltd., he holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with the University of Massachusetts.
Mr. Gagnon was first inspired to pursue a career in the field 40 years ago, when he took an introductory course in Cobalt programming. He found that he had a natural talent and aptitude for it, and he continued taking courses, becoming a self-taught expert. He is most proud of founding his own company and using it to succeed in the field. In addition to his love of computers, Mr. Gagnon enjoys spending time making and playing music on the electric guitar. In 2018, he was recognized with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
