Company: Burbank Services Inc.
Location: Hopkins, Minnesota, United States
John T. Burbank, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
During his time at the University of Minnesota, Mr. Burbank and his brother-in-law started a printing company. He enjoyed the typography aspect of his work and loved printing words. In 1961, he joined the United States Navy Reserves. Upon his return, he was greeted with new opportunities outside of the printing company. As he explored the industry, he found himself doing more typography than printing. He found what he was good at and stuck with it, which is where much of his success originated.
Prior to founding his business, Mr. Burbank spent many years navigating presidential positions at other successful companies. He was the vice president for companies such as the Pentagon Corporation and AS Industries, as well as Burbank Burns. This experience qualified him to become president of Minnesota Graphics in 1974, where he remained until 1984. The highlight of his career was the time he spent doing the typography for the Minneapolis Star Tribune during the six months in which they were on strike. In 1991, Mr. Burbank founded Burbank Services, Inc. In the years since he has brought much success to the company in his role as chief executive officer. As a testament to his success, Mr. Burbank is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who in the World, as well as the 2nd edition of Who’s Who in Entertainment and the 31st edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
