Travis Snowder, Chief Executive Officer of Qal-Tek Associates and WB Johnson Instruments, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business administration.
As the chief executive of both Qal-Tek Associates, which provides professional services and products to clients in order to improve their operational capacity and more, and WB Johnson Instruments, which produces radiation detection instruments, Mr. Snowder has excelled in his work throughout his career. Prior to his current positions, he held numerous positions in the construction industry, including as a salesman, technician, and manager, among other posts. For his accomplishments in his professional endeavors, he has been recognized with a Best Business Award in 2019 and the 40 Under 40 Award in 2016 and 2017.
Mr. Snowder boasts numerous career achievements, among the most notable of which would be acquiring an instrumentation management contract with the New York City Fire Department in 2008. The department’s instrumentation was still recovering from 9/11 when Mr. Snowder began working with them, and together with his team, he was able to track, locate, log, and manage the massive cache of instrumentation. Now, thanks to Mr. Snowder’s work, the department boasts one of the largest instrumentation systems in the country with less than a one percent failure rate.
In addition to his work with the New York City Fire Department, Mr. Snowder is proud of working with WB Johnson Instruments to propose a new radiation system for the United States military, which is nearing completion. He has spent more than a decade on this project, which seeks a new standard for radiation detection and field instrumentation for the military, and in addition, has created a portable nuclear density gauge. Mr. Snowder has maintained affiliation with the National Defense Industrial Association, and previously with the American Society for Testing and Materials, as well as the Health Physics Society.
