Title: Senior Program Manager
Company: Shell Oil
Location: Georgetown, Texas, United States
Michael D. Noyce, Senior Program Manager at Shell Oil, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in oil discovery.
For more than two decades, Mr. Noyce provided superior service as a senior program manager with Shell Oil, the multinational oil and gas company headquartered in England and active in every area of the oil and gas industry, including exploration, production, refining, transport, distribution and marketing, petrochemicals, power generation, and trading. He parlayed his experience serving his country in the United States Air Force, where he earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in computer science and also completed coursework in nuclear technology. In addition, he also studied with the Colorado School of Mines, a public research university in Golden.
Being able to develop a program that restores geological cross-sections while working at Shell Oil has been Mr. Noyce’s most notable accomplishment. The program is a process in oil discovery that a geologist and a geophysicist would interpret when they examine a seismic section. His program would take a cross-section of thrust folds and restore them to their original state. Given that it restores and provides a geometrically plausible cross-section after it has been restored, it would determine whether or not the geophysicist’s or geologist’s interpretation is plausible.
Mr. Noyce is also a board member of the Dog Alliance, a nonprofit that assists in providing life-changing service dogs for veterans and first responders who were disabled in the line of duty. In the coming years, he intends to look for continued opportunities with the organization and also hopes to continue to represent the Dog Alliance and service dogs in different functions.
