Having excelled in the retirement planning industry for the past 25 years, Mr. Lown currently serves as the owner of Lown Retirement Planning and has been a wealth preservation consultant with Table Bay Financial since 2016. Alongside his career in financial planning and securities, he has also offered his expertise as a university professor over the course of five decades to institutions such as National University, Trevecca Nazarene University, Olivat University and Point Loma Nazarene University. Additionally, he was a teacher of Latin and ethics and a head coach of track and field and cross country at the Francis Parker School between 1992 and 2012. Mr. Lown earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cambridge University in 1963 followed by a Master of Arts in theology from Cambridge University and a Doctor of Philosophy from Vanderbilt University.
Finding great success throughout the course of his career, Mr. Lown has been honored as teacher of the Year by Point Loma Nazarene University in the late 1970s, as well as by Trevecca Nazarene University in 1969. He has also been recognized as a Top 10 Producer by Table Bay Financial for two years. Attributing his success to perseverance, he considers a particular career highlight to be performing at Carnegie Hall as part of the Peninsula Singers of Point Loma. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lown hopes to continue his work as a consultant and an entrepreneur, as well as his volunteer work in order to contribute to the community. He currently is active with the Society for Financial Awareness, San Diego Greyhound Adoption Center, YMCA and his local church. Additionally, Mr. Lown is a founding member of Jesus Seminar and remains affiliated with the Society of Biblical Literature, American Academy of Religion and California Teachers Association.
