With over four decades of experience in the health care industry to her credit, Ms. Puroff-Main has excelled as a community liaison for Seniors Helping Seniors since 2012. In this role, she is largely responsible for promoting the company’s services via marketing and public relations initiatives. She also hosts musical events and programs for the company’s patients, leveraging her background in music performance. Over the course of her career, Ms. Puroff-Main has worked in senior care for over 20 years, and she is further bolstered by 12 years of collective experience working in cancer research and other administrative roles at various hospitals in Detroit, Michigan.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Puroff-Main pursued a formal education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in music and performance in 1983. In addition to holding a degree, she is also a certified dementia practitioner and a registered medical assistant. Over the course of her career, she has been notably proud to have found opportunities to mix her academic background with her professional environment. Despite not being a music therapist, she has found much of her music knowledge useful when caring for seniors. While Ms. Puroff-Main intends to retire in the near future, she also intends to remain active in the senior care industry, and she hopes to achieve her certification as a senior advisor.
