Roger R. Logston, Retired Senior Supply Chain Manager at Tennessee Valley Authority, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in supply chain logistics.
With more than 35 years to his credit in supply chain logistics, Mr. Logston most recently excelled as a logistics coordinator for Ascend Performance Materials from 2019 until his retirement from the position in 2021. He spent much of his professional journey working with the Tennessee Valley Authority, joining the company in 1987 as a materials coordinator. He was promoted to project manager in 1996, and ultimately thrived as a manager of transportation services from 2006 to 2014. He subsequently served as a warehouse manager for Vertiv Co. in 2017 and for High Sec Labs in 2018. Earlier, Mr. Logston began his private career as an employee with the Kroger Company from 1976 to 1986.
Following his successful completion of coursework at Calhoun Community College, Mr. Logston earned certification in parts, warehousing and inventory management operations from Clemson University. He later obtained a license in electric utility systems operations from the Professional Training and Development Institute.
Mr. Logston attributes his success to his ability to cultivate strong connections in his industry, as well as the versatility he developed in various sectors of the supply chain industry. He aspires to spend more time working as a consultant in the coming years and eventually work for a company that would benefit from his knowledge of improving processes and systems.
