Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Dowty pursued an education at Western Michigan University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in paper science and engineering in 1968. He subsequently obtained his certification as a commercial investment member of the Realtors Institute in 1982. Likewise, Mr. Dowty became certified as a tax specialist.
Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Mr. Dowty has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. Between 1984 and 1990, he has been affiliated with the CFP Institute. Moreover, he has found success with his written works, having authored “Tax Secrets for the Smiling Retiree: Get Control of Your Biggest Expense” in 2019, the Best Selling “Financial Success for the Smiling Retiree BW: 50 Tips to Help You Become a Smiling Retiree” in 2016 , and as the co-author of several other books. Mr. Dowty is also the proud executive producer on of the new movie, “The Baby Boomer Dilemma.”
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Dowty has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. In 1995, he was presented with the Motorola Quality Award at the US FIRST Robotics Competition after sponsoring a participating high school team. Looking toward the future, Mr. Dowty is currently writing a book of hands-on science experiments that parents can do with their young children.
