Since 2014, Mr. Thibeau has served as the president of Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC. The company is skilled in secondary oil recovery in proven oil fields, using a water recovery process to extract more oil at a lower cost and lower risk. Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC has partnered with the Wheeler Operating Corporation since 1932 to raise funds for the exploration of oil and natural gas wells. Through this endeavor, Mr. Thibeau has provided an unconventional investment opportunity in the oil and gas industry.
In his current position, Mr. Thibeau oversees project operations and sales, coordinates with a marketing company, orders and purchases equipment, coordinates service crews and handles administrative tasks. He attributes his success to surrounding himself with hardworking professionals and being responsive to investors. In preparation for his career, Mr. Thibeau attended Assumption University and graduated in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in politics with a minor in business administration.
Mr. Thibeau has been recognized for his success with multiple awards and accolades. Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC received the Best of Benbrook Award and was named to the 2022 Top Natural Resource Companies and Startups. The company was also named to the 21 Most Innovative Fort Worth-based Renewable Companies and Startups. In 2014, Mr. Thibeau acquired 50% ownership of the Wheeler Oil Company, the parent company of the Wheeler Operating Corporation.
Alongside his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Thibeau co-authored “Funding Activity: Unique Model Broadens Capital Base For Oil Field Development” in The American Oil & Gas Reporter in 2021. He has served as a football program volunteer for the Burleson Independent School District and supports a local charity in Fort Worth, Texas, that feeds the hungry in the community. Mr. Thibeau has also been affiliated with his local chamber of commerce and the Rotary Club. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandson and watching the games of his daughter and son-in-law, who are volleyball and football coaches, respectively.
