He has also been affiliated with the American Society of Safety Professionals and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the latter of which appointed him as a chartered member. During his formative years, Mr. Pavitt was recognized as the Plumbing and Heating Apprentice of the Year in England.
Attributing his success to his wealth of experience in the fields of safety and construction as well as his reputation as a problem solver and relationship builder, Mr. Pavitt is versatile in his skill set, having refined his skills in plumbing and heating before building houses, conducting industrial plumbing work and eventually transitioning to safety management following a back injury. Proud of his abilities as a leader and an expert on safety and technology construction management, he fondly recalls his notable safety work for the Antea Group and Microsoft, his design of an Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001-compliant safety management system for Kinross Gold’s $4 billion mine expansion project in Mauritania, and his superb experience in the classroom as an associate professor at Loughborough University. Currently committed to helping his wife operate the Senior Hearts Rescue & Renewal as she recovers from health issues, Mr. Pavitt hopes to eventually return to consulting and mentoring prior to his well-deserved retirement.
