Title: International Business Consultant, Author, and Public Speaker
Location: Destin, Florida, United States
Malcolm John Teasdale, international business consultant, author, and public speaker has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, leadership and expertise in international business, public speaking, telecommunications, and business coaching.
After a successful corporate career spanning more than 40 years in England, Canada, and the U.S., Mr. Teasdale has spent the last decade reinventing himself as an accomplished public speaker and travel writer, living out his passions, and helping countless others to do likewise. Success to him means having personal fulfillment, which has been manifest, in part, in the form of extensive travel and hosting his own podcast titled, “The Travel Addict,” and front-page or feature stories he has written for publications in Florida, including Plantation Living Magazine and the Northwest Florida Daily News. Furthermore, Mr. Teasdale is the author of the books “Planes, Trains, Taxis and Tuk Tuks,” “Religion, Spirituality and the Way of Life in the Himalayas – Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Myanmar,” “The Mid-Life Crisis Continues,” “Confessions of a Weary Business Traveler – Europe and Asia Pacific,” and “Travel Diaries of an Atypical Businessman – UNFILTERED.”
A native of Coventry, England, Mr. Teasdale immigrated to the U.S. in 1985 and became a citizen in 2004. During his previous career as an international business consultant and entrepreneur, he was executive vice president and co-founder of PrairieFyre Software, the president of TASKE Technology, manager of technical support for Mitel Corporation, a digital systems engineer at Northern Telecom, a commissioning engineer at Thorn Ericsson, and technical officer for British Telecom after graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from Coventry University.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Teasdale is incredibly proud to utilize his extensive telecommunications experience to start two companies, helping others create thriving businesses, and being asked to offer his expertise at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, during the first Gulf War and again in Moscow, Russia, in the final days of the Soviet Union. He attributes his success to his obsession with competence, getting things done, and being a lifelong learner. In the coming years, Mr. Teasdale aims to experience continued success in his work as a travel writer and public speaker while completing his “bucket list” of adventure travel destinations and learning about how the rest of the world lives.
