Vennis Terrell Manson, Retired Major in the U.S. Army and Administrative Services Division Manager at the El Paso Police Department, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military service and law enforcement.
With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Manson has built a successful career as a member of the U.S. Army and a law enforcement professional since beginning his service in 1977. He served to the rank of major in the U.S. Army before retiring in 1995. For his service, Mr. Manson received two Meritorious Service Medals in 1994 and 1995. He was also recognized with three Army Commendation Medals and a National Defense Ribbon.
Since 1996, Mr. Manson has excelled as the administrative services division manager at the El Paso Police Department. Following his retirement from the military, he planned on pursuing a new career and found that his qualifications fit the position being offered. Now in charge of the records division, he manages the budget, prepares the budget and monitors the department’s expenditures. Mr. Manson also processes Freedom of Information Act requests. In Texas, the law is named the Open Records Act.
In preparation for his professional pursuits, Mr. Manson attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and linguistics with high honors. He continued his studies at the University of Denver, where he obtained a Master of Science in systems management. Alongside his primary roles, Mr. Manson was the Southwest district president of the National Exchange Club from 2005 to 2006.
Given his long and successful career, Mr. Manson plans to retire in the next five years. He has no plans to involve himself in another endeavor but is considering sharing his knowledge as an instructor. In his spare time, Mr. Manson enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
