John Ashley Sheldon II, Director of New Business Capabilities with Renu Energy Solutions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in solar energy.
Since 2022, Mr. Sheldon has found success as the director of new business capabilities for Renu Energy Solutions, a solar energy installer. In this role, he sells products, including solar systems and electric vehicle chargers to residential and commercial consumers. With Renu Energy Solutions, he found success as a business intelligence manager from 2021 to 2022 and a business development manager from 2020 to 2021.
Mr. Sheldon started working for Renu Energy Solutions in 2018, serving as an inside sales manager until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he was a sales coordinator with the company. Prior to his experience with Renu Energy Solutions, Mr. Sheldon worked with Red Ventures from 2012 to 2019, holding the positions of solar sales performance manager, DirectStarTV sales performance manager and HughesNet sales performance coach. He began his career in 2008 as an inside sales coordinator with Akeena Solar.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Sheldon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Florida International University College of Business in 2008. He keeps abreast of his field by maintaining membership with numerous professional organizations, including Pi Kappa Phi, Emerging Green Builders, the Sierra Club and the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association. For his achievements, Mr. Sheldon was named to 40 Under 40.
Mr. Sheldon attributes his success to his family, most specifically his parents, for believing in him and serving as mentors and role models. He considers his advocacy his most notable professional achievement. In his spare time, Mr. Sheldon enjoys attending music concerts with his family, traveling, documenting history, writing, gardening, playing golf and working on home projects.
