Drawing from an extensive background in security operations on behalf of the IT industry, Mr. Walker has distinguished himself through his role as an enterprise advisory solution consultant with ServiceNow, a software development company, since 2021. Leveraging a deep well of experience with security information and event management, intrusion detection and prevention, and endpoint detection and response, he bears responsibility for testing active security protocols on a daily basis, as well as maintaining ServiceNow’s “SecBytes” community content on YouTube, through which he expounds on a variety of security protocols and potential threats.
Prior to his current role at ServiceNow, Mr. Walker previously built a prolific career as an IT expert at various companies, including BetterCloud, the Clark Construction Group LLC, with whom he worked for six years, the Finesa Real Estate Group, and Verizon Wireless. He first studied computer and information systems at Stevenson University, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree. Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Walker has also pursued certification with ServiceNow, BetterCloud, Coursera, Slack, Google, and Microsoft.
Likewise committed to civic advocacy and philanthropy, Mr. Walker has contributed as a strategic project manager and bilingual facilitator at the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, a fire rescue service in Montgomery County, Maryland. Furthermore, he has worked with DC Scores, a nonprofit organization that works with young athletes, and the National Institutes of Health, where he served as an IT coordinator. Additionally, Mr. Walker has availed himself as a mentor within the Mustang Career Mentor Program at Stevenson University, and has supported the operations of such worthy organizations as the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Among his most dearly held accomplishments, Mr. Walker is proud to have worked diligently in order to advance to his current role at ServiceNow, where he built a network of incredibly talented colleagues. In accounting for his standout success, he largely credits the influence of his grandmother, who taught him that there is no such thing as a bad day, only a bad moment, and that every day is beautiful. Notably, he was presented with a Cybersecurity High Achiever Award in 2023. Looking toward the future, Mr. Walker aspires to become the director of value engineering at ServiceNow, through which he hopes to further transform his career and serve in a leadership role.
