The organization manages the Guyanese region of the Miss Universe Organization, operating under JKN Universe LLC; the Miss Universe pageant is one of the most widely recognized pageants in the world. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Brown-Walker was the executive state director of Miss Earth USA, COSMO United States and Miss United States from 2016 to 2023. She has similarly offered her expertise in talent acquisition to many other companies throughout her career, including Verizon, Northrop Grumman and the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Brown-Walker also cultivated her higher education, originally earning a Bachelor of Science in business management at Hampton University in 1985. She would ultimately achieve a Master of Science in human resources management and development at the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2009. In addition to her academic credentials, she also holds a master certificate in leadership development for managers from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. In her adjacent civic-minded pursuits, Ms. Brown-Walker has remained active as an executive board member of the Brighter Stronger Foundation since 2010, and she has been an executive director of The Employment Resource Ministry (TERM) since 2000. To commemorate her achievements, she has been honored with numerous accolades, most recently including the Global Beauty Award for Best Director and Producer in 2022.
