Leveraging more than 40 years of experience as a healthcare provider, Dr. Adib has distinguished himself as the founding member and chief executive officer of VitalOrganization, through which offers his counsel to clients and corporate employees in reducing stress and devising a wellness regimen that focuses on optimal health outcomes, professional success and personal satisfaction. Driven to address the root causes of chronic stress and illness, Dr. Adib has delivered a wide variety of presentations, courses and workshops on the topics of stress, wellness and vitality, and is a certified Stress and Wellness Consultant via the Canadian Institute of Stress/Hans Selye Foundation.
Bearing a particular expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Adib previously found success as the president of PreventionCare LLC between 2006 and 2015. He initially began his career as a surgeon with Meriter Health Services and Meriter Heart Hospital, now known as UnityPoint Health/Meriter, from 1979 to 2014. Throughout this period, he was also active as the chairperson of his department, the president of the medical staff, the director of the hospital board, and the medical director for the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery program. Additionally, Dr. Adib served on the board of directors of Meriter Foundation and Meriter Medical Group.
Dr. Adib first attended the University of Tehran Faculty of Medicine, from which he received a Doctor of Medicine. Following this accomplishment, he undertook a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was also certified in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
In addition to his primary career pursuits, Dr. Adib has volunteered as a field trip pilot and educator for Edgewood College-Madison, and previously served as a nurse residency educator at Meriter Health Services. Among his avocations, he is also an avid pilot, and enjoys classic sports cars and gardening. Looking back on his professional journey, he is most grateful to have cultivated both an attitude of perseverance and a drive to seize new opportunities as they come. Looking toward the future, Dr. Adib hopes to expand upon his knowledge of several languages, including Italian, French and Farsi.
