Since 2007, Mr. Christie has found success as a settlement adviser with Ringler Associates Inc., where he facilitates settlement claims using structured settlements. In this role, he communicates with defense attorneys, trial lawyers, insurance companies or injured parties. From 2000 to 2007, he was a structured settlement broker with Cambridge Galaher Settlements, the predecessor firm of Ringler Associates Inc. Mr. Christie began his career as a broker and claims consultant with the American Mutual Insurance Co. from 1981 to 1982. From 1982 to 1991, he was a multi-claims territorial claim specialist, supervisor and regional manager with the General Accident Insurance Co., and from 1991 to 1995, he garnered experience as a management and senior litigation claims consultant with the Hartford Insurance Group.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Christie attended Tulane University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social science, city regional planning and economics in 1981. Alongside his formal degree, he holds numerous professional certifications in insurance through the Louisiana Department of Insurance, including property, casualty, life, variable life, annuity, accident and health licenses. In 1986, Mr. Christie became a certified senior claims law associate through the America Educational Institute. He is licensed in 21 states, and for his professional accomplishments, he was named Producer of the Year by Ringler Associates Inc. in 2011, 2013, and 2014. Additionally, he has been named to the company’s Million Dollar Platinum Club for 15 years. In his spare time, Mr. Christie enjoys woodworking, running, hiking and playing the guitar.
