Anthony R. Maranto, PhD, Chief Growth Officer at Lynker, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in environmental science and growth strategy.
Dr. Maranto excelled as the vice president for strategic pursuits at Lynker in 2022 before transitioning to the chief growth officer, with which he continues to thrive. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct professor and committee member for various institutions since 2001. Between 2019 and 2022, he worked as the vice president for strategic pursuits for Columbus Technologies and Services. Dr. Maranto contributed to ERT, Inc., as the vice president for environmental engineering design between 2010 and 2016, advancing to executive vice president between 2016 and 2018. He found success as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2001 to 2010 and as a program manager for J.M. Waller Associates, Inc., from 1997 to 2001. Beginning his career in laboratory work, he was successful as the director of instructional laboratories at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County between 1993 and 1997 and as the director of the radioecology laboratory for the state of Maryland.
His passion for science and openness to new opportunities led Dr. Maranto to obtain a PhD in environmental science from the Union Institute College of Graduate Studies in 1997. Previously, he earned a Master of Arts in environmental science from Goddard College in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County in 1991. He is also certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute.
Dr. Maranto cites working on the Mars rover as his most notable achievement. He describes the opportunity to consult with a team of approximately 120 scientists across a spectrum of disciplines as akin to giving birth due to the excitement of watching the launch. His scientific proclivities drove him to attain membership in the Society of American Military Engineers and the American Chemical Society, of which he has been a member for 30 years.
In the upcoming years, Dr. Maranto aims to continue adding value and problem-solving skills to his work. His mission is to keep working with governmental agencies, such as NASA, the NOA, and the Department of Defense, as these positions allow him to contribute to solving the most pressing struggles facing our nation. When away from work, he dedicates his time and attention to volunteering in his community and building stronger bonds with his family.
