Andrew H. Kehm, D-ABMDI, Special Investigator at Intercounty Investigations & Solutions, Program Manager and Adjunct Instructor at Northampton Community College, and Per Diem Instructor at Tri Tech Forensics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in law enforcement.
With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Kehm has found success as a special investigator for Intercounty Investigations & Solutions since 2022, a program manager and adjunct instructor of criminalistics in the Northeast Forensic Training Center at Northampton Community College since 2019, and a per diem instructor for Tri Tech Forensics since 2018. He was previously active in a number of roles with the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensics Center between 2014 and 2022, including as the chief deputy coroner, a training coordinator, a senior investigator and the deputy coroner. In the years prior, he worked as a program manager for the Northeast Forensic Training Center at Northampton Community College from 2011 to 2015, a patrol sergeant for police and public safety at DeSales University from 2013 to 2014, and both the deputy coroner and medicolegal death investigator for Lehigh County, Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2014. Between 1993 and 2013, he excelled with the City of Bethlehem Police Department in Pennsylvania as a sergeant and detective in the criminal investigations division and forensic services unit, which he proudly established in 2004. Mr. Kehm began his career in the U.S. Military, serving for six years in the military police of the U.S. Army and for three years in the U.S. National Guard.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Kehm has obtained a number of important certifications over the years, including in the technical advances in the visual documentation of crime scenes from Virginia Commonwealth University, enhanced threat and risk assessment from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, elderly domestic violence and sexual assault from the National Institute of Crime Prevention, advanced practical homicide investigation from PHI Investigative Consultants and verbal de-escalation in crisis situations from the Northeast Forensic Training Center, to name a few. He was likewise registered as a diplomat by the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators. Upon his retirement from the City of Bethlehem Police Department, Mr. Kehm was drawn to his field after discovering the benefits of conducting municipal background investigations, including the flexibility with scheduling and the excitement of the work.
Mr. Kehm attributes his success to his strong work ethic, his passion, and working for a proactive coroner’s office, which enabled him to receive a wealth of knowledge and opened doors for his fulfilling career in crime scene investigation. As a testament to his stellar career, he was honored with various accolades over the years, including from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center, the City of Bethlehem Police Department, the NYPD Detectives Endowment Association and the Bethlehem Fire Department. He was additionally recognized for his military service with an Army Commendation Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Medal. Looking toward the future, Mr. Kehm hopes to continue teaching and mentoring young law enforcement officers through Tri-Tech Forensics and Northampton Community College while fostering the burgeoning careers of his children.
