Victor E. Lawe, Safety Officer in the city of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in safety management.

With more than 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Lawe has excelled as safety officer for the City of Rocky Mount, North Carolina since 2018. He began his career at Alcoa Howmet Castings from 1997 to 2001. He worked as a packing and shipping supervisor at Hydro Aluminum for two years before transitioning to the Solo Cup Company where he served as a field supervisor to the production superintendent from 2004 to 2009. From 2009 to 2013 he was active as team coordinator II at Oshkosh Defense, LLC. 

Mr. Lawe found success as an extrusion manager at Peninsula Packaging, LLC from 2013 to 2016. He was appointed to the role of production manager from 2016 to 2017 and then environment health safety and continuous improvement manager at Berry Global Inc. from 2017 to 2018. He worked as chief administrator for Safety-Reports Inspection System, affiliated with The Safety Center within the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. 

In the United States Army, Mr. Lawe served for 10 years. During this military career, he garnered a stellar reputation as a soldier from 1987 to 1992, including 3 years in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, tank platoon leader from 1992 to 1994, company executive officer and signal platoon leader in 1995, headquarters company executive officer from 1995 to 1996, and battalion maintenance officer from 1996 to 1997. 

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Lawe pursued an education at Iowa State University where he completed coursework in mass communication and media studies in 1982. He continued his academic efforts at the University of the District of Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism in 1986. He concluded his studies at Indiana Wesleyan University and obtained a Master of Business Administration in 2003. He holds 16 certifications in an array of specialties, including labor, health, safety, CPR/AED/First Aid, national security, driving instruction, lean manufacturing, and investigations.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Lawe has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He is a member of four safety-related organizations, a first responder for several companies and communities, and sits on the executive board for four committees in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was a HOSTS mentor at Handley Elementary School and is a member of Toastmasters International. He authored three papers published by the National Safety Council and volunteered with seven groups including the National Safety Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Heart Association, and the American Stroke Association.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Lawe has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with 17 medals and awards related to his illustrious military career, six for his contributions to community safety in Rocky Mount and Greenville, North Carolina, and was recognized as a survivor advocate and three-time safety ambassador by the National Safety Council.
