Peter J. Zangari, independent investor, Fintech executive and adjunct professor at Drew University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technology, education and applications of artificial intelligence to finance.
With 32 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Zangari has excelled in the investment management and quantitative investing space since 1993. He began his career as a vice president at JPMorgan from 1994 to 1998. He worked as a managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management from 1998 to 2011. At MSCI, Inc., he contributed as the head of equity analytics from 2011 to 2015, the head of analytics from 2015 to 2017, and global head of research and product development from 2017 to 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Zangari pursued an education at Fordham University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, summa cum laude, in 1989. He continued his academic efforts at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, graduating with a master’s degree and a PhD in Economics (with a specialization in Econometrics) in 1994.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Zangari has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He sits on the board of trustees at Drew University and has sponsored scholarships for students at Fordham and Rutgers Universities. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Zangari has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Graduate Economics Student Award at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In the immediate future, he will continue to pursue opportunities in the areas of Fintech, Education and Health care Services.
