Wesley Dean Burdette, founder at Prudent Financial Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in wealth management.
With 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Burdette has excelled as founder of Prudent Financial Services since 2023. He began his career as an assistant center manager at First National Bank of Florida from 2001 to 2006. He worked as a financial services representative at MetLife Financial Services from 2007 to 2009. At Avenue Capital Management, LLC., he held the role of managing director from 2007 to 2011 before transitioning to the role of vice president of Grace Advisory Group from 2011 to 2018. He garnered a stellar reputation as a financial advisor at PFS Wealth Management Group from 2018 to 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Burdette acquired the necessary credentials to succeed in his chosen field. He holds a Series 65 license, a property and casualty license, and is a registered investment advisor. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including as a member of the Financial Services Institute.
Mr. Burdette attributes his success to his ability to rub elbows and connect with other highly successful individuals that are where he wants to be. He started out in a grocery store as a bagger and worked his way to managing the entire front end. The company decided to experiment and put a bank inside the store. The working hours at the bank were relatively better and enticed him to get into banking. As time went on, he realized that he enjoyed helping people and guiding them, particularly regarding their investments. Looking to help his clients better, he decided to become an independent financial advisor.
Mr. Burdette cites the number and variety of small accounts he manages to be his most notable achievement. In the immediate future, his goal is for the company to expand and to help families outside of Florida and across the United States. He wants to see the company become a multi-generational wealth management company that has billions of dollars of asset management across the country. Personally, he intends to apportion time to enjoying his hobbies, which include coin collecting, hiking, soccer, attending live music performances, and wine and food tasting.
