The company’s mission is to prepare workforce candidates for jobs through intense short term skills training, imbuing them with the needed hard and soft skills training to qualify for entry level trades positions available in their local market. He began his career as a regional vice president at MidSouth Data from 1985 to 1992. He found success as president of Southern Network Services from 1992 to 2007.
Mr. Evans was established himself as an IT business and technology management consultant at EvansUSA, LLC since 2007 to 2014. At Avaya, he contributed as an account manager from 2011 to 2013 before transitioning to the role of client solutions executive at AT&T from 2014 to 2015. He continued his career as a senior client executive at Verizon Enterprise Solutions from 2015 to 2017.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Evans pursued an education at Wofford College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1979. He completed certifications as an AVAYA sales associate, a Citrix sales professional, and holds certifications in AT&T carrier technologies training, Cisco and Microsoft product training, George S. May business management training, and IPA business valuation and assessment training. He made significant contributions to several major projects throughout his career and is skilled in operations management, cloud computing, telecommunications, enterprise software, virtualization, sales engineering, leadership, networking, unified communications, vendor management, and many others.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Evans has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of president at the Birmingham Volleyball Club from 2001 to 2006. He attributes his success to the tremendous need within his industry and by helping people change their lives through providing them with the necessary tools to pursue and attain a job.
Mr. Evans is most proud of creating a short-term training program that can successfully initiate a new career. WorkForce Innovators of America have had over 100 citizens that they’ve put back to work. In the immediate future, he aims to go nationwide with his business to help more people.
