Nancy M. Bearce, treasurer at Bernalillo County Treasurer’s Office, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in tax collection.
With 18 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Bearce has excelled as treasurer in the treasurer’s office of Bernalillo County since 2017. She began her career as an employee benefit manager at the Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville, Indiana from 1988 to 1996. She contributed at William M. Mercer, Inc. working in operations and as a benefits administrator from 1996 to 1999. She established herself as a benefits manager for Albuquerque Public Schools from 1999 to 2002 before transitioning to the role of benefit and quality analyst in the Human Services Department at the State of New Mexico from 2002 to 2007.
Ms. Bearce continued her career as bureau chief of the Employee Benefits Division at the New Mexico General Services Department from 2007 to 2011. She was active as medical administrator of the 377 Medical Group at Kirtland Air Force Base in 2013. She found success as an account manager at Poms & Associates from 2014 to 2016.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Bearce pursued an education at the University of Louisville where she earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies in 1980. Beyond her responsibilities within the field, she has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She held the roles of president and treasurer’s affiliate of New Mexico Counties since 2018 and chief operating officer of New Mexico Abilities from 2011 to 2012.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Bearce remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She held leadership roles in the Asian American Association of New Mexico, the District 6 Coalition of Neighborhood Associations, the Presbyterian Healthcare Services, Presbyterian and Lovelace Health Plans, and La Mesa Community Improvement Association. She was a member of the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada and the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers & Finance Officers. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Latin Who’s Who, Inc. and Manchester Who’s Who in Executives in Health and Healthcare in America.
